Abstract: A system for identifying biomarkers in a digital image of a Hematoxylin and Eosin-stained slide of a target tissue includes a processor and an electronic network; and a memory having stored thereon computer-executable instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the computing system to: process segmented tile images determine a predicted biomarker presence; and transmit the predicted presence. A non-transitory computer-readable medium includes a set of computer-executable instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause a computer to: process segmented tile images; determine a predicted biomarker presence; and transmit the predicted presence. A computer-implemented method includes processing segmented tile images; determining a predicted biomarker presence; and transmitting the predicted presence.

  • Patent number: 11078137
Abstract: The method begins with an oil which in one embodiment is cannabis crude oil derived from a cannabis plant. Oil is placed within a container having an open upper portion and with the oil preferably only filling up less than half of a volume of the container. The container and oil therein are placed within a vacuum oven where the oil is heated over time to a preselected temperature. A vacuum is then drawn on the oil while it is within the oven. Initial vacuum application is carefully applied to avoid the oil boiling over and out of the container. Vacuum residence time continues for a preselected duration, while gaseous terpenes are drawn from the oven toward the source of vacuum, such as a vacuum pump, by way of a cold trap/condenser. This cold trap is sufficiently cold that terpenes are condensed into a liquid form and collected therein.

  • Publication number: 20160267484
Abstract: A goods, services and payment authorization system and method are provided to prevent services from being rendered, goods from being provided and/or reimbursements from being made in the case of fraudulent healthcare transactions resulting from identity theft, phantom billing, lack of insurance coverage and/or medical fraud, in general. In conjunction with a healthcare transaction, patient identity information is collected and insurance coverage is confirmed using a programmatic calculation of a confidence determination based on the collected identity information.

  • Publication number: 20070269660
Abstract: A coated article is provided that includes a cement composite substrate; and a coating system applied to the substrate. The coating system includes an epoxy-functional coating composition applied to the substrate, and a water-based coating composition, distinct from the epoxy-functional coating composition, applied to the epoxy-based coating. between the compositions. A method is also provided that includes the steps of: providing a cement composite substrate; applying an epoxy-functional coating composition to the substrate; and applying a water-based coating composition, distinct from the epoxy-functional coating composition, to the epoxy-based coating. The water-based coating composition used in this method preferably comprises a polymer having one or more functional groups that can react with the epoxy-based coating to promote adhesion between the compositions.

  • Publication number: 20070259166
Abstract: A coated article which includes a cement fiberboard substrate and a radiation-curable coating system applied to the substrate. The coating system includes a latex polymer, one or more olefinic compounds and water, and may be provided in the form of one or more coating compositions that may be applied in one or more layers, wherein each of the coating compositions is preferably an aqueous composition, or can be mixed with another composition (e.g., on the substrate) to form an aqueous composition.

  • Publication number: 20060272416
Abstract: An acoustic wave flow sensor includes a piezoelectric substrate and a heater located immediately below the acoustic wave substrate. A heating element can be deposited in association with a plurality of acoustic wave components upon the acoustic wave substrate. The acoustic wave components, the piezoelectric substrate, the heater and the heating element operate in a high-condensation environment, such that the plurality of acoustic wave components are heated directly by the heater and/or the heating element, thereby promoting a desorption of water in the high-condensation environment in order to achieve accurate and reliable flow sensing data thereof.

  • Publication number: 20050146982
Abstract: An apparatus and method for measuring and mixing liquids is described. First and second vessels are connected to an aspirator so that reduced pressure is produced in the second vessel as a first liquid flows to the first vessel. Reduced pressure motivates flow of a second liquid into the second vessel until a predetermined level is reached. A conduit opens between the first and second vessels. The aspirator draws liquid from the second vessel to the first vessel while the conduit allows liquid from the first vessel to flow to the second vessel. Thus, the liquids are mixed until a predetermined level of liquid in the first vessel is reached.
