  • Patent number: 11960092
Abstract: A light source or projector for a near-eye display includes a light source subassembly optically coupled to a waveguide concentrator. The light source subassembly may include several semiconductor chips each hosting an array of emitters such s superluminescent light-emitting diodes. The semiconductor chips may be disposed side-by-side, with their emitting sides or facets coupled to the waveguide concentrator, which provides a tight array of output light ports on a common output plane of the concentrator. The output diverging beams at the array of output light ports are coupled to a collimator, which collimates the beams and couples them to an angular scanner for scanning the collimated light beams together across the field of view of the display.

  • Patent number: 11934376
Abstract: A database management engine provides a user interface that allows users to access and modify employee information in a database. The database includes entries for employees, and each database entry includes identifying information about the associated employee. A user can request to modify data within database entries, for instance in order to update information associated with an employee. Responsive to the request, the database management engine identifies liabilities associated with the database modification stemming from associated tax laws. Based on the identified tax liabilities, the engine computes the aggregate tax liability owed by the employer and/or employee. Before modifying a database entry, the engine modifies the user interface to include interface elements detailing the computed aggregate tax liability. The user explicitly can be required to confirm the database modification in view of the aggregate tax liability.

  • Patent number: 11928032
Abstract: Techniques for data management are described. A monotonically increasing time source that indicates an elapsed time since a reference event may be activated. Multiple snapshots of a computing object may be generated in accordance with a schedule for backing up the computing object, where the schedule may include a retention duration for retaining snapshots. Based on generating the snapshots, timestamps for the snapshots may be stored, where the timestamps may indicate respective values of the monotonically increasing time source. As part of an expiration job, a reference value of the monotonically increasing time source may be identified based on the retention duration and a current value indicated by the monotonically increasing time source. Also, a snapshot of the snapshots may be expired based on a timestamp of the snapshot corresponding to a value of the monotonically increasing time source that is less than the reference value.

  • Publication number: 20240013874
Abstract: Healthcare object (HCO) discriminator systems and methods are presented. Systems can obtain a digital representation of a scene via a sensor interface. An HCO discriminator platform analyzes the digital representation to discriminate objects within the scene as being associated with a type of HCO or as being unrelated to a type of HCO. Once the HCO recognition platform determines that a type of HCO is relevant, it instantiates an actual HCO. The HCO can be routed to one or more destinations based on routing rules generated from a template or based on the manner in which the objects in the scene were discriminated.
