  • Publication number: 20170342941
Abstract: A turbofan engine assembly having a turbine engine and a nacelle that surrounds at least a portion of the turbine engine to define an annular bypass duct that defines a forward-to-aft bypass air flow path. The turbofan engine assembly further comprises a fixed portion and a movable portion which is movable in a direction along the bypass air flow path to an opened position that defines a thrust reversing outlet through which at least a portion of the bypass air flow may be directed. At least one actuator moves the movable portion to the opened position.

  • Publication number: 20030054701
Abstract: An electrical connector, of the pin/socket type, wherein the pin is removable from the socket. Ordinarily, physical movement of the connector causes the contact points between the pin and the socket to redistribute themselves, with deleterious results. The invention constrains the pin to remain in contact with two rail surfaces defined in the socket. As a visual analogy, the pin can be viewed as a large cylindrical tank, supported by railroad tracks parallel with the tank's axis. Cradling the pin in this manner reduces, or eliminates, redistribution of contact points.

  • Patent number: 6497589
Abstract: An electrical connector including a wire clamp that restricts wire movement within an electrical connector assembly to facilitate reducing wire chafing and arcing is described. The electrical connector assembly couples to at least one wire and also includes a backshell. The wire extends from an overbraid through the connector assembly to electrical pins. The backshell includes an overbraid clamping portion that includes exterior and interior surfaces, and an opening extending therebetween. The wire clamp includes two body portions that define at least one opening sized to receive the wire. A plurality of ribs extend into each wire clamp opening.
