  • Patent number: 12197488
Abstract: Techniques are described for a computing system to synchronize project data between media applications. A method includes (a) operating a first project adapter module to convert a first media project generated by a first media application from a first project format into a generalized project format, thereby generating a generalized project; (b) operating a synchronization service to manage a set of contextual rules; (c) operating a second project adapter module to convert, with reference to the set of contextual rules, the generalized project into a second project format used by a second media application, thereby generating a second media project; and (d) viewing the second media project using the second media application. A system, apparatus, and computer program product for performing this method and similar methods are also described.

  • Patent number: 11736588
Abstract: Techniques for heterogenous video editing across storage platforms are disclosed, including: mapping a first mount in a local system to a first location in a first type of storage system, the first location including a first representation of the media object; mapping a second mount in the local system to a second location in a second type of file system, the second location including a second representation of the media object that is timecode-aligned with the first representation of the media object, the second representation being different from the first representation; and providing the first mount in the local system and the second mount in the local system to the media editing application, to enable the media editing application to switch between the first representation of the media object and the second representation of the media object via the local system.

  • Patent number: 10223410
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes obtaining a first data set from a first data source and a second data set from a second data source, the first data set including a first plurality of entities and the second data set including a second plurality of entities. The method also includes identifying a verified relationship between a first entity from the first plurality of entities and a second entity from the second plurality of entities and determining that a third entity from the first plurality of entities has a first same-as relationship with a fourth entity from the second plurality of entities based on one or more of the verified relationship or relationships between the first plurality of entities and the second plurality of entities. The method further includes generating first output data including the first same-as relationship.

  • Publication number: 20160349969
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes providing a variant user interface to a first subset of a plurality of user devices, wherein the variant user interface is based on baseline user activity data indicative of user activities associated with a baseline user interface provided to the plurality of user devices, obtaining variant user activity data indicative of user activities associated with the variant user interface, and generating, based on the variant user activity data, effect data indicative of an effect of the variant user interface on one or more of the user activities.
