  • Patent number: 12478399
Abstract: A method of treating a blood vessel in a subject comprises the steps of advancing a catheter device comprising a deployable abrasive element distally across a treatment zone in the vessel, deploying the abrasive element into contact with the vessel wall, actuating the abrasive element to cause disruption of the vessel wall and exposure of subendothelial layers of the vessel wall at the treatment zone, infusing a sclerosant agent into the blood vessel via the catheter to contact and induce cellular necrosis in the exposed subendothelial layers of the vessel wall, recapturing the abrasive element by the catheter device, and withdrawing the catheter device from the vessel. The method may comprise an additional step of inducing vasospasm of the treatment zone of the vessel prior to disruption of the vessel wall by administering a stimulus to the vessel wall by the catheter device.

  • Publication number: 20250114084
Abstract: A method of treating a vessel in a subject comprises the steps of advancing a device distally across a treatment zone in a vessel, wherein the device comprises an elongated catheter having a lumen and a distal end, and a radially expansive treatment element disposed in the lumen and configured for axial movement relative to the catheter; deploying the radially expansive treatment element proud of the distal end of the catheter to radially expand and circumferentially impress against the vessel lumen at a distal end of the treatment zone; and withdrawing the deployed radially expansive treatment element proximally along the treatment zone with the treatment element circumferentially impressed against the vessel lumen to mechanically and circumferentially denude the treatment zone of the vessel. The radially expansive treatment element is then recaptured into the lumen of the catheter, before the device is withdrawn from the treated vessel.

  • Patent number: 11104493
Abstract: A pouring spout assembly for pouring fluid from a bottle without spillage includes a spout that is attachable to a bottle to pour a fluid contained in the bottle. A trigger is movably integrated into the spout that can be depressed by a user and the trigger is biased into an up-depressed position. A disk is coupled to the trigger such that the disk is positioned within the spout. The disk closes the spout when the trigger is not depressed to inhibit the fluid from pouring outwardly through the spout. Conversely, the disk opens the spout when the trigger is depressed to facilitate the liquid to pour from the spout.

  • Patent number: 10995650
Abstract: A heat shield for a bellows includes a central section, a first outer section, a first annular insert, a first annular flexion member, a first pipe, and a first rod. The first outer section includes a first outer section first end and a first outer section second end opposite the first outer section end. The first annular insert includes a first slot and is positioned within the first outer section second end. The first annular flexion member is coupled to the first outer section first end of the first outer section and coupled to the central section. The first annular flexion member facilitates movement between the first outer section and the central section. The first pipe is partially received within the first slot in the first annular insert. Movement between the first outer section and the central section causes movement between the first pipe and the first rod.

  • Publication number: 20210077144
Abstract: A device (1, 30, 40, 50, 60) for denuding a vein comprises a vein denuding head (3) operatively attached to an elongated catheter member (2) and configured for transluminal delivery and deployment in the vein. The vein denuding head comprises a helical coil (4) that is self-adjustable from an uncoiled delivery configuration suitable for transluminal delivery within the catheter member and a coiled deployed configuration having a diameter greater than the vein to be denuded that circumferentially engages an internal lumen of the vein when deployed. The helical coil has an abrasive surface configured to circumferentially denude the internal lumen of the vein when the coil is moved axially along the body lumen in the coiled configuration. The helical coil may be a single helical coil element.

  • Patent number: 10526998
Abstract: A system and method for fluidly sealing a cylinder head interface between an engine block and a cylinder head of an internal combustion engine. An example apparatus includes a perimeter seal disposed on an outer periphery of the cylinder head. The perimeter seal has a first surface to abut a cylinder head sealing surface and a second surface to abut an engine block sealing surface. The perimeter seal is configured to prevent fluid from an external environment from entering the cylinder head interface and to allow fluid within the cylinder head interface to vent to the external environment when the fluid is above a predetermined pressure. A first fluid transfer tube seal fluidly seals a first fluid transfer orifice extending between the engine block and the cylinder head. The perimeter seal and the first fluid transfer tube seal are formed as a unitary structure.
