    Abstract: A drug release device employing a block copolymer of poly(ether-urethane)/poly(dimethyl siloxane) is useful for dispensing lipophilic drugs at a high controlled rate for prolonged periods of time. The initial "burst effect" of drug release experienced with prior drug release devices is eliminated or at least substantially reduced with these devices.
