  • Publication number: 20230329905
Abstract: An eye drop dispenser having a dispensing body configured to be removably secured to a bottle holding a dispensing solution. The dispenser includes a dispensing tip in fluid communication with the bottle for dispensing solution that flows from the bottle out the dispensing tip. The dispenser includes a cheek rest arm that includes a curved portion configured to be positioned adjacent a cheekbone of a user and a cheek rest portion that is positioned along a length of a cheek of the user when the curved portion of the cheek rest arm is positioned adjacent the cheekbone of the user. When the dispensing body is secured to the bottle and the curved portion of the cheek rest arm is positioned adjacent the cheekbone of the user, the dispensing tip is positioned adjacent an eye of the user for dispensing solution into the eye by gravity.

  • Patent number: 10449683
Abstract: A razor comb hair tool and a kit containing the same are disclosed. Embodiments include an elongated guard member having an exterior with first and second opposing edges and a hollowed interior defining a cavity, wherein the first edge includes a plurality of spaced apart comb teeth and the second edge includes an opening allowing access to the cavity. A razor blade may optionally be positioned within the cavity. Embodiments also include a handle member adapted along a first edge to make a slidable connection with the second edge of the guard member. When the slidable connection is made, access to the opening and/or razor blade is obstructed.

  • Patent number: 10165906
Abstract: An apparatus for dissolving a fragrance carrier such as a shower tablet, including a fragrance carrier holder and a mount bracket supporting a water-holding reservoir and configured so that water in the reservoir or from the reservoir can contact and dissolve the fragrance carrier on the holder. The apparatus is attachable to a vertical wall for a shower stall. The reservoir can be provided with a valve to at least partially control flow of water from the reservoir. The valve is preferably a flapper valve, a rotatable flow regulator valve, a poppet valve or a duckbill valve. A method of dissolving the fragrance carrier is also provided.

  • Patent number: 5595444
Abstract: The invention provides methods of detecting poor meat quality in live animals using infrared thermography. Animals from a group of live domestic animals such as cattle or swine are scanned to produce thermographic images. The images are then statistically analyzed to determine a measure of central tendency such as the mean temperature for each animal's image and for all of the images in the group. A measure of dispersion from the measure of central tendency, such as standard deviation is determined. Then, animals are rejected as having a high probability of producing poor meat quality if the measure of central tendency for that animal's temperature differs from the measure of central tendency for the group by more than 0.9 standard deviations. Alternatively a set percent of animals are rejected, preferably up to 20%, these being animals whose measures of central tendency differ the most from the measure of central tendency for the group.

  • Patent number: 5458418
Abstract: The invention provides methods of detecting poor meat quality in live animals using infrared thermography. In cattle, animals whose thermographs are predominantly outside the test temperature range, 28.degree.-32.degree..+-.2.degree. C., are rejected as having a high probability of producing poor meat quality. In swine, the test temperature range is 24.degree.-26.degree..+-.2.degree. C.
