  • Patent number: 8955900
Abstract: A door for selectively opening and closing at least a portion of an opening in a vehicle includes an outer door panel and an inner door panel. The inner panel is attached to the outer panel thus defining a space between the inner and outer panels. The inner panel is characterized by height and length. A reinforcement beam having a length substantially equal to the length of the inner panel is attached to the inner panel such that the beam is disposed in the defined space. A reinforcement bracket having a height and a length is attached to the inner panel intermediate the first and second ends of the length of the inner panel such that the beam is disposed in the space between the inner and outer panels. The length of the bracket is smaller than the length of the reinforcement beam.

  • Patent number: 8898958
Abstract: A sealing system for a vehicle includes a first and second seal. The first seal is attached to a first edge of a first flange of the vehicle. The first seal presents a first outer contact surface that extends in generally parallel relationship to the first edge. The second seal is attached to a second edge of a second flange of the vehicle. The second seal presents a second outer contact surface that extends in generally parallel relationship to the second edge. The first outer contact surface and the second outer contact surface are in sealing contact relationship with the movable pane of glass when the movable pane of glass is in a closed position. The first outer contact surface and the second outer contact surface are not in sealing contact relationship with the movable pane of glass when the movable pane of glass is in an open position.

  • Patent number: 8789313
Abstract: An outer belt molding for a vehicle includes a body portion having a first end and a second end. A cap is disposed at the first end of the body portion, and an anti-rattle bumper is disposed at the second end of the body portion. A window sealing arm is compliantly coupled to the body portion at a location between the cap and the anti-rattle bumper, and forms an acute angle with the first end of the body portion. Additionally, a body sealing arm is compliantly coupled to the window sealing arm and extends toward the body portion.

  • Patent number: 7641261
Abstract: A sliding door moves between a closed position and an open position over a vehicle opening. A track is mounted along the vehicle and extends to a remote end. The length of the track is less than the distance traveled by the sliding door. A door bracket mounted to the sliding door has a slot extending parallel to the track with first and second ends. A roller bracket has rollers received by the track and is movable between a first position proximate the opening and a second position at the remote end of the track. The roller bracket includes a pin slidably received in the slot to shift between the first and second ends of the slot. The pin is pivotally retained at the first end of the slot when the sliding door is closed. The pin is retained at the second end when the sliding door is open.
