  • Patent number: 9777461
Abstract: An operator control arrangement has first and second operator controls with pluralities of first and second controls configured to provide inputs to at least one controller to control respective first and second sets of operations of machine-positioning and implement-positioning components. The first and second sets of operations include pluralities of machine-positioning and implement-positioning operations. The pluralities of first controls and/or inputs are numbered within fifty percent of the pluralities of second controls and/or inputs, respectively.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 22, 2015
Date of Patent: October 3, 2017
    Assignee: Deere & Company
Inventors: Giovanni A. Wuisan, Nathan J. Horstman, Stephen E. Bonneau, Ronald J. Huber, Jed D. Polzin, Richard A. Valenzuela
  • Patent number: 9777460
Abstract: A control arrangement for a work vehicle has a first operator control configured to provide a steering input to turn steered wheels of the vehicle, and a second operator control having two control switches configured to provide a wheel lean input to lean the steered wheels and an articulation input to articulate the chassis of the vehicle. The control switches are positioned on the second operator control so that a single movement of a single digit of an operator's hand applied to the control switches simultaneously initiates the wheel lean input and the articulation input.

  • Publication number: 20150101440
Abstract: A multifunction control for a work vehicle provides a control lever mounted control grip forming a hand rest, pommel and control face. The hand rest is ergonomically contoured to support an under side of a vehicle operator's hand in a neutral position. The operator can position the control front to back and laterally with the hand in a relaxed state. The operator can move the control in one lateral direction by contacting the pommel with a finger and in the opposite direction by contacting the control face, or guard thereon, with a thumb. One or more control switches can be mounted on the control face in reach of the thumb and also at a frontal location in reach of a finger. The switches can be activated without straining or repositioning the hand on the hand rest.
