Abstract: Disclosed are methods and solutions for sealing and curing concrete and other cementitious materials using strontium containing, non-alkali, non-silica, chemical solutions. The strontium-based solutions can be placed in admixture with cementitious materials prior to molding and curing to create a final product, or the strontium-based solutions can be applied to newly created or existing cementitious material surfaces to improve the repellent and stain, resistant properties.

Abstract: The invention relates to a composition and method for effectively increasing the hardness of a concrete surface and other cementeous materials. More specifically, increasing hardness of concrete by applying a strontium based solution to its surface, and the structure made by the method. The invention also relates to application of surfactants and/or other additives in order to improve the penetration of the hardening agent into the concrete surface and other cementeous materials, improve the water and/or oil repellant properties of the concrete, and/or improve its stain resistance.

Abstract: Antifreeze, deicing, and freeze control systems comprising aqueous alkaline earth or alkali metal salts of calcium, sodium and magnesium nitrate used separately or in mixtures with other substances currently used for these applications such as sodium chloride, magnesium chloride, calcium chloride, diethylene glycol, and acetates of magnesium, potassium and sodium, are presented.
