Abstract: A system and method for onboarding a merchant on a computing platform is disclosed. The system receives a merchant onboarding request containing personal, business, and insurance information. Using a trained artificial intelligence risk model, the system generates an identifier verification score and a business risk score for the request. The system then verifies the merchant's information based on these scores and provides access to a real-time merchant portal based on the verification results and the type of merchant. The system collects various details about the merchant, such as business name, type, address, contact information, EIN, business license, NPI number (if applicable), insurance information, years in business, number of employees, and annual sales volume. This system streamlines and automates the onboarding process, ensuring efficient and secure merchant activation.
