  • Publication number: 20240100343
Abstract: An implantable neuromodulation system can include an electrode configured to be disposed at or near a first branch of a hypoglossal nerve of a patient and configured to provide a first electrostimulation therapy to treat a sleep disorder or breathing disorder of a patient. The system can include a sensor configured to provide a sensor signal that includes information about a patient response to the first electrostimulation therapy. The patient response can include at least one of an acoustic profile of an airway of the patient, a change in a position of a tongue of the patient, and information about an evoked compound action potential (ECAP) of a portion of the hypoglossal nerve. In an example, a processor circuit can use information from the sensor signal to select a subsequent electrostimulation therapy to treat the sleep disorder or breathing disorder of the patient.

  • Publication number: 20230213375
Abstract: Apparatus (10) for monitoring the condition of an item of electrical equipment (1) whilst in operation comprises a vibration sensor (11) and an electrical sensor (12) operable to detect a characteristic operational electrical signal of the equipment (1). The output of the vibration sensor (11) and the electrical sensor (12) is supplied to a spectrum generator (13) and then to a processing unit (14) operable to process the respective frequency spectrums to generate a frequency response function. Once a frequency response function is generated, the processing unit (14) is operable to compare the generated frequency response function to a model frequency response function. This allows any variations between the generated frequency response function and the model frequency response function to be identified. This could be indicative of a fault and could provide an identification of the nature of the fault.

  • Patent number: 11523871
Abstract: A system for adjusting an operating state of a medical electronic device is described. In an aspect, the system includes an optical tracking system configured to detect three or more tracking markers. The system also includes a processor coupled with the optical tracking system. The processor is programmed with instructions which, when executed, configure the processor to: configure an input command by assigning at least one operating state of the medical electronic device to a particular state of at least one of the tracking markers; after receiving a priming command, identify a present state of the tracking markers based on data from the optical tracking system; compare the present state with the particular state assigned to the operating state; and based on the comparison, determine that an input command has been received and adjust the operating state of the medical electronic device to the assigned operating state.
