  • Publication number: 20240125079
Abstract: Disclosed is a cover for a utility vault and a method for making such covers. The cover is formed from fiberglass reinforcement layers, a low-density core, and a polymer mix matrix. The reinforcement layers include a bottom reinforcement layer, one or more edge reinforcement layers, and a top reinforcement layer. A first portion of the edge reinforcement layer overlaps a portion of the bottom reinforcement layer and a second portion of the edge reinforcement layer overlaps a portion of the top reinforcement layer. The core is positioned between the top and bottom reinforcement layers. The reinforcement layers are formed from fiberglass fabric and may include fiberglass layers whose fibers are oriented quadraxially. The polymer mix impregnates the fabric layers, encases the core, and binds the components together. The polymer matrix includes a thermoset polymer resin.

  • Publication number: 20170324621
Abstract: In some implementations, a method includes obtaining a first visual representation of a first network topology of a network and a second visual representation of a second network topology. The first network topology includes a first set of network devices and a first set of connections between the first set of network devices. The second network topology includes a second set of network devices and a second set of connections between the second set of network devices. The method also includes alternating between presenting the first visual representation and presenting the second visual representation based on user input.

  • Patent number: 9423230
Abstract: A system for disabling or degrading electrically initiated explosive devices includes an apparatus for inducing waveforms of varying power and duration into the leads of a bridgewire based blasting cap, thus raising the resistance to render the blasting cap inoperable without requiring detonation, and for polling or confirming electrical performance and operational status of the blasting cap. An operational methodology for neutralizing an explosive device is included.

  • Patent number: 7728788
Abstract: A segmented redundant display cell driver interface system and method wherein each of the drivers are totally independent from each other. The system and method provide segmented redundant display cell drive interfaces that drive the display normally in a failure free mode, and that additionally can independently drive a portion of the display in the event of a failure in the drive electronics. With the segmented redundant display cell driver interface, the drive function can be segmented into N independent segments. With N segments, a failure on one of the driver interface boards would cause the loss of 1/Nth of the display, with the remaining display still operational. In the alternative, all the remaining displays could be repositioned by software so that no sub-display information is lost.

  • Publication number: 20070199618
Abstract: A router may be moved to an angle relative to the workpiece and corresponding to the desired angle of the hole. A plunge actuator may be used to move the router toward the workpiece. The plunge actuator may remain in a generally vertical, or perpendicular position relative to the workpiece. The router may be tilted to the angle of the desired hole. The plunge actuator may move the angled router generally along a line perpendicular to the workpiece to create the desired, angled hole. The router bit may enter the workpiece at an angle to cut the hole. By keeping the plunge actuator in a generally vertical position to route an angled hole, no tilting mechanism may be needed for the plunge actuator, thus reducing the amount of required machinery to cut the hole and improving the adaptability of the router assembly to other equipment.

  • Publication number: 20070051776
Abstract: A friction welding system includes a first spindle and a second spindle. The first spindle and the second spindle securely locate a first part and a second part, respectively. The first spindle defines a first axis. The second spindle defines a second axis. A tailstock fixture is disposed along the first and second axes to securely locate a third part. A motor rotates the first and second spindles. A controller controls the motor and the angular orientation of the first and second spindles. The first spindle is moveable along the first axis. The second spindle is movable along the second axis. The first part and the second part can contact the third pat while rotating to effect two separate fiction welds. The controller controls the rotational position of the first spindle and the second spindle upon completion of the weld.
