Abstract: A breathing device for assisting patients to breathe by maintaining positive airway pressure during the breathing cycle comprises, in fluid communication, a breathing channel (2) and an exhaust channel (4) extending from a junction therebetween. A gas inlet channel (8) is arranged, so as in use, to introduce gas into said breathing channel (2). A positive pressure may be maintained in the breathing channel (2), wherein the axis of said gas inlet channel (8) is laterally offset (10) at the point at which the gas inlet channel (8) introduces the gas into the breathing channel (2) from the axis of the narrowest part of the breathing channel (2).

Abstract: A dental air/water syringe purge hold-down device having a hold-down portion, a bracing portion and one or more connecting portions. The hold-down portion holds down one or more buttons on a dental syringe. The bracing portion stably holds the hold-down portion against the buttons on the syringe and the side members serve to connect the hold-down portion and the bracing portion and enhance the hold-down activity of the hold-down portion.

Abstract: A cemented carbide drill/endmill blank and method of manufacture thereof wherein the drill/endmill includes a core and a surrounding tube with improved technological properties. The difference in Co-content between the core and tube is 1-10 wt-% units and the cubic carbide content is 8-20 wt-% in the tube and 0.5-2 wt-% in the core.

Abstract: An armature structure for an electrodynamic shaker comprises an armature support and an armature coil assembly mounted on the support. The coil assembly includes a cladding, or alternatively a spine, of a carbon fibre material. Preferably the carbon fibres extend generally longitudinally of the armature, that is to say in its direction of motion.
