  • Patent number: 10367391
Abstract: Generator stator bar having profile strip and process for manufacturing a generator stator bar are presented. The generator stator bar includes stator bar strands assembled together. The profile strip is placed on top side and bottom side surfaces of the stator bar strand assembly. The profile strip includes uncured strip consisting of uncured material. The profile strip includes pre-cured strip consisting of pre-cured material. The pre-cured strip includes cavities perforated through its thickness. The profile strip enables the generator stator bar to be manufactured by a single press and heat operation to achieve a rectangular geometry having round outer edges and to maintain orientations of stator bar strands parallel to the profile strip.

  • Publication number: 20160103246
Abstract: A method can include mapping a stairstepped grid to a surface where the stairstepped grid and the surface represent a discontinuity in a geologic environment; based at least in part on the mapping, adjusting properties associated with the stairstepped grid to compensate for spatial discrepancies between the stairstepped grid and the surface; and simulating flow in the geologic environment using the stairstepped grid and the adjusted properties.

  • Patent number: 9269401
Abstract: An apparatus for storing data and supplying stored data. The apparatus comprises a support unit having a plurality of connectors for connecting to a plurality of data storage elements, and a plurality of data storage elements. Each data storage element is connected to one of the connectors. The apparatus also comprises a cable having a first end connected to the support unit and a second end connected to a main part. The main part defining a first space containing a portion of the cable, and a second space for containing the support unit. The support unit is movable between (i) a first position providing access to the data storage elements and (ii) a second position in which the data storage elements are located within the second space. The cable is a ribbon cable comprising power wires having a relatively large gauge and signal wires having a relatively small gauge.
