  • Patent number: 11858596
Abstract: A retractable entry/exit system for a boat that mounts below a swim platform or other similar boat structure. The system has a main frame, a linkage, a number of step assemblies and a single actuator. The actuator is configured to move the linkage to selectively extend or retract the step assemblies. When retracted, the system is folded into a compact arrangement under the mounting structure. When extended, the step assemblies extend beyond the mounting structure, where they can be used to conveniently enter and exit the boat or as a place to rest, lounge, sit or otherwise enjoy the water. The linkage may include a bell crank assembly with integral linkage arms, as well as a pair of supplemental linkage arms. The linkage arms may be disposed toward opposite sides of the system and may be operatively coupled to step brackets that support opposite ends of each step assembly.

  • Patent number: 7707955
Abstract: A lifting apparatus includes a lift arm for carrying a platform or cradle and is pivotally attached to a base for movement between lowered and raised positions. A crank arm is pivotal with the base and a connector arm is pivotal with the lift arm. The crank arm and connector arm are pivotally connected to each other for rotation about a common pivot axis. Rotation of the crank arm by an actuator moves the crank arm and connector arm combination through a top dead center alignment a lowered over center alignment with the lift arm movable from the lowered position to the raised position during operating positions of the apparatus, and to a raised over center alignments with limited movement of the lift arm in the raised position for providing a locking position of the apparatus thus eliminating a need for typical additional locking mechanism.

  • Patent number: 4768800
Abstract: An auxiliary pad for attachment to the foot portion of a bicycle kickstand is molded in two pieces of polypropylene. A clamp section has a pair of opposing semicylindrical clamp elements and can be folded to clamp around the downwardly extending rod of the kickstand. A pair of semicylindrical shims is attached to the clamp elements and can be used if required. A pad section is provided having a ribbed underside and a pair of brackets to accept a pair of clamp legs serving to hold the pad section against the foot portion of the kickstand.
