  • Patent number: 10521442
Abstract: An apparatus in one embodiment comprises at least one processing platform accessible to a plurality of user devices over at least one network. The processing platform implements a hierarchical value-based governance system for data assets of an enterprise. The hierarchical value-based governance system comprises a data asset governance controller, a technical metadata hub, a business metadata hub and a data asset catalog. The data asset catalog is coupled to the technical metadata hub and the business metadata hub and provides integrated technical metadata and business metadata for each of a plurality of the data assets of the enterprise. The data asset governance controller is configured to generate analytics actions for one or more analytics workspaces based at least in part on the integrated technical metadata and business metadata of the data asset catalog. The analytics actions may comprise visualizations providing actionable insights into the corresponding data assets.

  • Publication number: 20060016335
Abstract: An improved filter element for use in an electrostatic precipitation air cleaning device, the filter element including rod electrodes arranged through a stack of alternating fluted plastic sheets and plate electrodes. Successive plate electrodes are arranged to make contact with an alternating one or the other of the rod electrodes. The plate and rod electrodes may be composed of high impedance materials such as paper and plastic, respectively. An arrangement for removably inserting a filter element into an air cleaning device is provided. The arrangement also removably provides electrical connectivity between the filter element and the air cleaning device. The filter element can thus be readily removed and re-installed by a user.

  • Patent number: 6156085
Abstract: A portable air cleaner comprising a cylindrical filter element mounted on a circular base and encased by a cylindrical cover. A centrifugal fan mounted within the cover draws unpurified air into inlet openings disposed in the base and the side wall of the cover, and through the filter element. The resulting purified air is drawn into the centrifugal fan and forced radially outward therefrom. An air deflector dish redirects the purified air through the exhaust openings disposed on the top surface of the cylindrical cover. Such an exhaust flow which is perpendicular to and spaced from the inlet flow results in an improved efficiency in purifying the entire volume of air within a room.

  • Patent number: 6013121
Abstract: This invention relates to a filter change indicator that is operable in various orientations of the device incorporating it. For example, the filter change indicator is operable when the device is positioned in either the upright or sideways position. The device incorporating the filter change indicator can be any air moving device which incorporates a cleanable or replaceable filter. The filter change indicator includes a transparent viewing window and a tubulation. The viewing window displays a visible signal when the filter needs changing. The visible signal can be a float retained in the tubulation. The tubulation is a hollow transparent tube which forms an incline plane within the housing. The tubulation includes a first end, a second end and a step. The first end is in fluid communication with an air flow path through the tubulation, and this air flow path is exposed to atmospheric pressure.
