  • Patent number: 11111130
Abstract: A fuel storage and supply arrangement serves as a source of fuel to be dispensed via at least one fuel dispenser in a fuel dispensing environment. The arrangement comprises a storage tank for containing a quantity of the fuel, fuel piping configured to convey fuel from the fuel storage tank to a fuel dispenser, and a fuel conditioning and filtration assembly having an inlet in fluid communication with the fuel piping and an outlet in fluid communication with the fuel storage tank to return the fuel. A fuel conditioning and filtration element is interposed between the inlet and the outlet, the fuel conditioning and filtration element being configured to remove water from the fuel passing through the filter element. A flow valve allows and prevents flow of fuel through the filter element. Processing circuitry is operative to control the flow valve based on predetermined criteria.

Abstract: A fuel storage and supply arrangement serving as a source of fuel to be dispensed via at least one fuel dispenser in a fuel dispensing environment. The arrangement comprises a storage tank for containing a quantity of the fuel and a pump assembly for drawing the fuel from the storage tank providing the fuel under pressure. A fuel supply line is configured to convey the fuel under pressure from the pump assembly to the at least one fuel dispenser in a dispenser flow path. A fuel conditioning and filtration assembly comprise a housing having a housing inlet receiving the fuel under pressure created by the pump and a housing outlet whereby the fuel entering the housing inlet exits the housing through the housing outlet. A filter element is within the housing and interposed in the flow path between the housing inlet and the housing outlet. A return tube receiving fuel from the outlet of the housing is also provided.

  • Patent number: 9752961
Abstract: A dual-purpose dynamometer assembly is disclosed including a dynamometer motor, a chassis dynamometer roll that can be driven by a vehicle wheel, and a powertrain dynamometer shaft that can be driven by a vehicle powertrain. A gearbox is disposed between and rotatably couples the dynamometer motor with the chassis dynamometer roll and the powertrain dynamometer shaft. At least one chamber wall defining a test chamber is disposed between the dynamometer motor on one side and the chassis dynamometer roll and the powertrain dynamometer shaft on the other side such that the dynamometer motor is disposed outside of the test chamber. There is at least one aperture penetrating the chamber wall through which the dynamometer motor is connected to the chassis dynamometer roll and the powertrain dynamometer shaft. Accordingly, the dynamometer motor is isolated from extreme temperatures within the test chamber.

  • Patent number: 8829444
Abstract: Transparent optical ceramic coating materials have been fabricated from europium-doped lutetium oxide (Lu2O3:Eu) using physical vapor deposition and chemical vapor deposition techniques. The non-pixilated film coatings have columnar microcrystalline structure and excellent properties for use as radiological scintillators, namely very high density, high effective atomic number, and light output and emission wavelength suitable for use with silicon-based detectors having a very high quantum efficiency. The materials can be used in a multitude of high speed and high resolution imaging applications, including x-ray imaging in medicine.

  • Patent number: 8584530
Abstract: A wind turbine gearbox test cell includes a cradle and a base mounted to a first support structure. Load devices are interconnected between the cradle and base and are configured to input at least one of thrust, radial and yaw loads to the gearbox through the cradle to a wind turbine gearbox under test. A controller is in communication with the load devices and is programmed to command the load devices to input the at least one of thrust, radial and yaw loads to the gearbox corresponding to a simulated wind turbine gearbox loading event. The test cell includes dynamometers and gearboxes that can be reconfigured based upon the particular wind turbine gearbox under test.
