  • Publication number: 20260192873
Abstract: Interchangeable trailer units for a work machine system and a work machine comprising a tractor unit releasably connectable to interchangeable trailer units by a coupling. Tractor and trailer unit ground engagers, are driven by electrical power systems and the electrical power is distributed across the entire work machine power system. The trailer units can be swapped once their power sources run low.

  • Publication number: 20250376040
Abstract: In one aspect, a boom assembly for a mobile machine includes a front end and a rear end, and further includes an extendable and retractable boom. The boom includes a first end, a second end, a top wall extending from the first end to the second end, and a bottom wall extending from the first end and the second end, the bottom wall being opposed to the top wall, and a central wall. The central wall connects the top wall and the bottom wall so as to form a front compartment on one side of the central wall, and a rear compartment on a second side of the central wall, when the boom is in an extended position. A component of an actuator system is connected to the central wall and located within the rear compartment.

  • Publication number: 20250376048
Abstract: A rail connector assembly for connecting a mobile machine to an electrically-conducting rail system includes a boom assembly, a trailing arm assembly and a contactor assembly. The boom assembly includes a main boom and a boom tip. A first end of the main boom is configured to be coupled to the mobile machine, and a second end of the main boom opposite to the first end is pivotably coupled to the boom tip. The boom tip includes an angled portion that extends at a non-zero angle from a longitudinal axis of the main boom. The trailing arm assembly is pivotably coupled to an end of the boom tip. The contactor assembly is pivotably coupled to an end of the trailing arm assembly.

  • Publication number: 20250145121
Abstract: The work machine system comprises a tractor unit releasably connectable to interchangeable trailer units by a coupling. When a trailer unit is coupled to the tractor unit a work machine is formed for performing work functions. The tractor unit may not be capable of movement between trailer units when uncoupled, for example because it comprises only one pair of wheels rotating about a single axis and as such would tip over without support. The alignment system comprises a platform for supporting and holding the tractor unit thereon and a platform transport system to move the platform relative to the trailer units. Therefore, alignment for coupling between the tractor and trailer units can be achieved.

  • Publication number: 20190168577
Abstract: A cooling system for a vehicle cab where the vehicle has an internal combustion engine is provided. The system comprises a cooling chamber having an ambient air intake, and first and second pairs of sorption vessels. Each pair of sorption vessels comprises a first sorption vessel containing a sorption solution which is located in the cooling chamber and is in fluid communication with a second sorption vessel located outside the cooling chamber. The system further comprises first and second cooling circuits, each circuit containing a coolant and being in heat exchange contact with a respective one of the second sorption vessels. A first control valve selectively directs coolant from the first or the second cooling circuit towards the cab. An exhaust passage conveys exhaust gases away from the engine, and the exhaust passage has at least one exhaust aperture in communication with the cooling chamber.
