  • Patent number: 3993381
Abstract: A connector intermediate between IC and PC board. The terminal of the connector having a prong portion for connection to the PC. An upper portion of the terminal being contained in a pocket of the connector housing. The upper portion being firmly held in the pocket by virtue of a retainer segment seated against the floor of the pocket and a curved portion resiliently held between opposing vertical walls. The curved portion includes a segment to contact and hold a terminal of the IC. The curved portion terminates in an inwardly turned segment closely spaced from the retainer segment.

  • Patent number: 3981655
Abstract: A molding apparatus is provided having an interchangeable material feed cylinder selected either for injection molding or transfer molding. The selected material feed cylinder receives the molding material and discharges the same to the cavity mold supporting structure. Displacement means in the form of a dual piston cylinder having a selectively variable stroke is provided for feeding the molding material through the selected material feed cylinder. The apparatus further provides for control means for controlling the length of travel of the displacement means depending upon the material feed cylinder selected for use in the apparatus.

  • Patent number: 3934177
Abstract: A case containing and supported on a channel like bracket that divides the case into two chambers. A first chamber contains the signal processing circuitry. The second chamber contains the power circuitry. The power transistors are mounted on the main wall of the bracket, in the second chamber, so that the bracket acts as a heat sink. The bracket has side walls which extend along inner walls of the case in good thermal contact therewith to provide heat conduction. A variable resistor faces out an opening in the top of the case to permit used adjustment of the timing constant. The resistor is mechanically supported on an edge of the bracket to prevent the resistor being pushed into the case while being adjusted.

  • Patent number: 3932085
Abstract: A mold base employs tungsten carbide mold cavities. These hard, brittle cavities are supported by softer, more resilient and more malleable metal support elements. Cams and sliding surfaces are above the parting line and the base is opened from below the parting line.
