  • Publication number: 20190329156
Abstract: An effluent processing apparatus comprises a separator device arranged to receive an effluent mixture to separate oil and water from the effluent mixture and thereby to provide clean air. A member selectively allows either only oil or only water of the separated oil and water to pass from a first side of the member through openings in the member to a second side of the member. A sump is arranged to (i) receive and retain the oil on the first side if only water passes from the first side to the second side, and (ii) receive and retain the oil on the second side if only oil passes from the first side to the second side. Clean air from the separator device is exhausted through an air outlet to atmosphere, and water is drained through a water outlet to atmosphere.

  • Publication number: 20190299957
Abstract: An effluent processing apparatus comprises a first processing stage in which oil and water are separated from an effluent mixture containing air, oil, and water from a purge valve of an air dryer. The effluent processing apparatus also comprises a second processing stage in which oil is extracted from the separated oil and water of the first processing stage. The effluent processing apparatus further comprises a third processing stage in which air from the first processing stage and water from the second processing stage are combined and exhausted to atmosphere.

  • Publication number: 20180235409
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments of universal mounting brackets and dispensers with mounting brackets are disclosed herein. An exemplary universal dispenser mounting bracket includes a base. The base has a first surface for connecting to a dispenser. A first spring arm extends from the base in a first direction and has a first arm clamp. A second spring arm extends from the base in a second direction and has a second arm clamp. The first and second spring arms have a rest position and a biased position. Moving the first and second spring arms away from their rest position generates a clamp force in the spring arms that urges the first and second spring arms toward their rest position. When the mounting bracket is mounted to a surface, the base is on a first side of the surface and the first and second clamp arms are on a second side of the surface and the clamp force generated by the spring arms secures the mounting bracket to the surface.

  • Patent number: 8947197
Abstract: A method for verifying a person's identity is of the general type which comprises storing a personal pattern of a pre-determined number of locations on a grid in association with personal identification data, and subsequently using the pattern in a verification process. According to the invention, the subsequent verification process comprises the steps of: (a) presenting to the person a challenge grid of locations occupied by a pseudo-random set of symbols, and challenging the person to identify a response set of symbols occupying locations in the challenge grid corresponding to the stored personal pattern; (b) receiving from the person the response set; (c) generating from the challenge grid and the stored pattern a verification set of symbols occupying locations in the challenge grid corresponding to the stored personal pattern; (d) comparing the response set of symbols with the verification set of symbols; and (e) verifying the identity of the person if the response set is the same as the verification set.

  • Publication number: 20070048468
Abstract: A glazing panel having a decorative pattern comprises a laminar insert of plastics material deformed to replicate a desired decorative pattern positioned between two opposed sheets of glass or other transparent glazing material. The deformed laminar insert has areas which lie in contact with one of the glazing sheets and areas spaced from that sheet and the other glazing sheet of the panel. The areas of the laminar insert in contact with the glazing sheet are bonded to the glazing sheet using a resin which retains a degree of flexibility when set. The spaces defined between the laminar insert and the glazing sheet are entirely filled with a hardenable resin material.

  • Patent number: 4788702
Abstract: The invention comprises apparatus for determining the orientation of the crystallographic axes of a single crystal. The crystal is rotated on a turntable while an X-ray beam containing characteristic radiation is directed onto it. A stationary position-sensitive detector, preferably positioned at right angles to the beam detects Bragg reflections from the crystal, and computing means responsive to the signals from the detector, and signals representing the angular position of the turntable determines the crystal orientation.

  • Patent number: 4771446
Abstract: The invention comprises a method of, and apparatus for, measuring the orientation error in a single crystal. An X-ray beam is reflected from the surface of the crystal while it is rotated, and the orientation error is determined from the figure traced at a detector by the reflected beam. The orientation error may be calculated from the major axes of the traced figure, or, if the X-ray beam contains a characteristic line, from the separation of the two bright spots produced in the traced figure.
