  • Patent number: 11849931
Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods suitable for use with procedures performed at least partially percutaneously are provided. In some procedures, two or more access devices for providing access to adjacent surgical locations within a patient are used. Certain embodiments of the access device comprise an elongate body having a distal end with one or more cutouts. The cutouts on adjacent access devices are generally aligned with each other to permit passage of a portion of a fixation element from one access device to the other access device. A fastener with an elongated removable head may be delivered to the surgical site through the access device. After a distal end of the fastener is secured to the surgical site, a portion of the elongated housing is detached from the remainder of the fastener and removed from the patient.

  • Publication number: 20220297269
Abstract: A stop valve adaptor to make a stop valve having a threaded stem actuatable through a stop valve box using a stop valve key. The stop valve adaptor is affixed to the threaded stop valve stem using a nut. The stop valve box is preferably made of a polymeric material and is maintained at a predetermined length by using friction due to O-rings, a glue joint, or clamping to dispose a stop valve box cover at the ground surface.

  • Patent number: 11306839
Abstract: A poppet-style check valve comprising a small poppet and a large poppet. When low flow rates are required, the small poppet opens and permits the low flow rate to pass efficiently. When demand for flow increases, the large poppet opens, permitting efficient passage of higher flow rates.

  • Patent number: 10197051
Abstract: A pump control switch for controlling the operation of a pump, where the pump switch includes a pressure activated switch and a run capacitor located in a single housing. The pressure switch is attached by a pipe fitting to be in fluid communication with the water line that feeds into a storage tank, to sense the water system pressure. The water system pressure sensed by the switch moves the electrical contacts in the switch between their open and closed positions. The pressure switch is disposed to operably electrically interconnect a power source, the run capacitor, and the pump motor.

  • Patent number: 9085878
Abstract: A yard hydrant, including a discharge nozzle above ground level, connects to other vertically reciprocal working parts in the ground below the frost line. A water storage chamber, disposed below the frost line, is formed in part by a deformable diaphragm. Residual water in the hydrant, when the hydrant is turned off, is collected in the water storage chamber and returned to the hydrant for discharge through the nozzle when the hydrant is turned on. A venturi disposed in the water supply line creates turbulence and thereby creates a lower pressure adjacent the exit of the venturi when the hydrant is turned on. This lowered pressure at the venturi exit speeds up the evacuation of water from the water storage chamber when the hydrant is on so the storage chamber can accept and store water that would otherwise be above the frost line when the hydrant is turned off.

  • Patent number: 8408238
Abstract: A yard hydrant of a type utilizes a reciprocating valve for controlling the flow in a hydrant flow pipe vertically movable within a standpipe. The lower end of the flow pipe has a valve body attached thereto for controlling the flow of water from a supply of water under pressure. An upper end of the flow pipe is secured to the hydrant head and in flow communication therewith and such head is vertically movable with the flow pipe and valve body relative to the standpipe. The opening of the valve is accomplished by elevating the hydrant head with respect to the standpipe and the ground, which correspondingly elevates the flow pipe and valve body to the open position of the valve. Closing the valve is accomplished by lowering the hydrant head, flow pipe and valve body, which simultaneously allows water to drain from the hydrant head/flow pipe/valve.
