  • Publication number: 20100206123
Abstract: An electronic bicycle accessory that includes a pair of mounting arms that extend in an opposite direction relative to a display of an electronic device. The pair of mounting arms are oriented in a generally C-shape to define a cavity between the mounting arms. Each mounting arm has a terminal end that extends to an over-center position of the cavity. When the electronic accessory is associated with a bicycle structure, the mounting arms deflect away from one another thereby allowing the bicycle structure to pass into the cavity. Once positioned in the cavity, the mounting arms provide a closure pressure that maintains the orientation of the accessory relative to the bicycle. When removed from a structure, no portion of the accessory remains behind.

  • Patent number: 6045470
Abstract: A front derailleur for shifting gears on a chain driven bicycle, the chain having a drive run and a return run from a plurality of chainwheels, uses a chain supporting idler cog to vertically control the chainline of the chain drive run and to also move transversely to shift the chain from one of the chainwheels to another.

  • Patent number: 5715554
Abstract: A bicycle pump and tire repair apparatus incorporating into a single unit an air pump for inflating a bicycle tire, a tire lever for removing a tire from a bicycle rim, a spoke wrench for repairing and adjusting the spokes of a rim, and a compartment for storing a patch for repairing a punctured bicycle tire is disclosed. The air pump is compactly designed for carrying on a bicycle. A thumblock on the head of the pump performs a dual function of locking the nozzle of the pump onto the valve of a tire being inflated, and it functions as a tire removal lever. A cap on the head of the pump has a knurled surface for abrading an inner tube to prepare it for application of a patch. A slot in the pump handle holds a second tire lever, and a compartment in the end cap of the handle stores a self-adhesive patch for repairing a punctured tire.

  • Patent number: 5683136
Abstract: A mounting assembly to mount a tablet to the support of a seating assembly includes a slide rod mounted to the underside of the tablet, a pivot shaft mounted to and extending forwardly from a support, and a slide member pivotably mounted to the pivot shaft and slidably mounted to the slide rod. The slide member includes a pivot shaft mounting portion defining a passage within which the pivot shaft is received, and a slide rod mounting portion within which the slide rod is slidably received. The slide rod and pivot shaft mounting portions define passages within which the slide rod and pivot shaft, respectively, are received, with the passages being oriented at an angle to each other. A stop arrangement is interposed between the pivot shaft and the pivot shaft mounting portion of the slide member for controlling the range of pivoting movement of the slide member, and thereby the tablet, relative to the pivot shaft.

  • Patent number: 5462338
Abstract: A mechanism for adjusting the position of an armrest relative to a seat includes a support member having the armrest mounted on a first end thereof and a locking track mounted on a second end thereof. A mounting plate assembly is fixed to the seat for slidably receiving the support member and the locking track. A leveraged clamping linkage is movably mounted to the mounting plate assembly and is selectively engageable and disengageable between the locking track and the mounting plate assembly for permitting independent adjustment of the support member and armrest in various positions relative to the seat.
