  • Patent number: 10607157
Abstract: An apparatus comprising a power source, one or more sensors, a transceiver, and a memory. The power source may be configured to store energy to power the apparatus. The one or more sensors may be configured to receive captured data from one of a plurality of sources. The transceiver may be configured to send and receive data to and from a wireless network. The processor may be configured to execute computer readable instructions. The memory may be configured to store a set of instructions executable by the processor. The instructions may be configured to (A) evaluate an expected power usage budget calculated using a predictive model of future energy consumption and (B) (i) store the captured data in the memory in a first mode and (ii) transmit the captured data to a remote storage device in a second mode. The first mode or the second mode is selected based on characteristics of the captured data received from the sensors.

  • Publication number: 20200084383
Abstract: A system has a measuring device providing a quantitative output of a physiological condition of a subject, a non-transitory identifier affixed to a surface proximal to the measuring device, an imaging apparatus having an Internet connection, and an internet-connected server coupled to a data repository, the Internet-connected server executing coded instructions on a processor. The physiological measuring device is engaged, providing a quantitative indication of the physiological condition of the subject, an image capture of the readout and the non-transitory identifier is captured by the imaging apparatus in a single image, and the captured image is transmitted to the internet-connected server.

  • Publication number: 20200073904
Abstract: A method and system for collecting information, enriching the collected information and linking the enriched information is provided. The system includes an application server that is accessible by users via their computer device for performing a variety of functions encompassed in a lifestream data function. Lifestreams (or lifestream data) contains notes, recordings and annotation data elements. The goal of the lifestream data functions is to ultimately enrich the individual data elements in each lifestream which then form a network of enriched lifestreams or aspects of enriched lifestreams to provide a user with: (a) a better organization of his/her data, notes, thoughts and intentions, (b) a better search or filter tool to search for data, notes, thoughts and intentions, and/or (c) a better ranking mechanism for ranking or determining relevance of data, notes, thoughts and intentions.

  • Publication number: 20200003762
Abstract: The present invention concerns machine learning based methods and systems for diagnosing and treating genetic diseases characterized by mitochondrial dysfunctions. A library of reference learning models is developed based on in vitro reference samples obtained from cell-cultures exposed to specific mitochondrial inhibitors. Each model is able to predict a specific labeled mitochondrial dysfunction induced in the cell-culture by the inhibitor/stressor. The reference models are then applied to target samples drawn in vivo from target subjects who are known to have specific genetic mitochondrial diseases. A mapping is developed between mitochondrial dysfunctions predicted in the subjects and their known mitochondrial diseases. This mapping and the reference models are then applied to a clinical sample of an undiagnosed patient in whom a diagnosis of a mitochondrial dysfunction and an associated mitochondrial disease is made.

  • Patent number: 10520378
Abstract: A system for monitoring injuries comprising a plurality of wearable user input devices and a wireless transceiver. Each of the plurality of wearable user input devices may be configured to detect motion patterns of a user. Each of the plurality of wearable user input devices may be configured as performance equipment. The wireless transceiver may be configured to communicate the motion patterns to a user device. The user device may be configured to (i) develop and store reference patterns related to impacts, (ii) compare the detected motion patterns with the reference patterns, (iii) estimate a location and direction of an impact based on the comparison, (iv) accumulate data from the estimated impact with previously suffered impact data, (v) aggregate results based on the accumulated impact data and context information and (vi) generate feedback for the user based on the aggregated results.

  • Patent number: 10506171
Abstract: A system has a test medium associated with a non-transitory identifier, an imaging apparatus having an Internet connection, and an internet-connected server executing coded instructions on a processor. A user applies an analyte to the test medium, allows a test to proceed to conclusion, implements an image capture of the test medium by the imaging device, and transmits the image to the internet-connected server, where the server stores the image associated with the non-transitory identifier in a data repository.
