  • Patent number: 9880799
Abstract: A mobile communication device promoting an extendable display. The mobile communication device comprises a software application stored in a memory of the electronic device, when executed by a processor of the electronic device in response to detecting the second proximate display screen, communicates with the second display screen and ad hoc collaborates with the second display screen. The software application further adapts a graphic to display it on the first display screen and the second display screen, with one part of the graphic displayed on the first display screen and the rest of the graphic displayed on the second display screen, without displaying an opaque bar at an edge where display screens touch, wherein the graphic is scaled based on a size of the combined single display screen.

  • Patent number: 9712571
Abstract: A method and system are provided for admitting new participants to an ongoing conference session. In one example, a conference server hosting a conference session may receive a request for a UE to join the ongoing conference session. In response to receiving such a request, the conference server may determine whether to admit the UE to the ongoing conference session as a full participant or as a partial participant. When the conference server determines to admit the UE as a full participant, the conference server establishes a conference leg with the UE and permits the UE to communicate with each and every current participant of the ongoing conference session. However, when the conference server determines to admit the UE as a partial participant, the conference server may establish a conference leg with the UE and may permit the UE to communicate with just some of the ongoing conference's current participants.

  • Patent number: 9161227
Abstract: A system for providing a trusted bearer communication link in a long term evolution (LTE) wireless network. The system attaches a mobile communication device to the long term wireless network. An enhanced node B processes a trust zone request from the mobile communication device. The enhanced node B processes a trust zone service request from the mobile communication device. The enhanced node B interworks with a home subscription server (HSS) and a policy control rules function (PCRF) server to verity the mobile communication device has a right to execute the requested trusted network service. The system established a trusted bearer communication link between the mobile communication device and the long term evolution wireless network.

  • Patent number: 9015068
Abstract: A method of transmitting digital content. The method comprises receiving an electronic shopping cart identifying at least a first shopping item and determining that the first shopping item is an item of digital content based on analyzing the electronic shopping cart. The method further comprises analyzing a demand for communication network resources and estimating a congestion of a communication network, building a plurality of offers for wirelessly transmitting the first shopping item to a wireless communication device based on analyzing the demand for communication network resources and based on estimating the congestion of the communication network. The method further comprises transmitting the plurality of offers, receiving a selection of one of the offers, and transmitting the digital content based on the selected offer.

  • Patent number: 8954588
Abstract: A method of transmitting digital content via a communication network. The method comprises receiving by a computer a request for a plurality of options for delivering the digital content via a communication network, determining by a computer a demand for resources of the communication network, and creating a congestion model modeling a congestion of the communication network. The method further comprises building by a computer a plurality of options for delivering the digital content based on the determined demand for resources of the communication network and based on the congestion model, transmitting by a computer the plurality of options, receiving by a computer a boundary reservation, creating by a computer at least one uncommitted reservation based on the boundary reservation, modifying by a computer the determined demand for resources of the communication network based on the uncommitted reservation.

  • Patent number: 8856929
Abstract: In a wireless communication device, first micro-processing circuitry drives a user interface and drives a wireless transceiver to exchange IP communications. A detection system detects a malicious condition related to the IP communications and responsively generates a circuit transfer signal. Switching circuitry de-couples the first micro-processing circuitry from the user interface and from the wireless transceiver responsive to the circuit transfer signal. Second micro-processing circuitry then drives the user interface and drives the wireless transceiver to exchange non-IP communications.
