Publication number: 20140244363Abstract: Arrangements relate to the publication of information regarding the quality of a virtual meeting. One or more performance indicators related to an aspect of the meeting can be collected. The performance indicators can be collected automatically or by input by a meeting attendee. The collected performance indicators can be aggregated. The aggregated performance indicators can be published to an external computing system, such as a social collaboration system.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 28, 2013Publication date: August 28, 2014Applicant: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Amy D. Patent number: 8701204Abstract: Referenced content is shared through collaborative business applications by detecting referenced content in an electronic communication. The referenced content references content stored in an external repository. The referenced content identifies a registered external repository connector. A determination is made whether an Access Control List (“ACL”) for the referenced content lacks an entry for a recipient of the electronic communication. Also an ACL entry is generated for the recipient in response to the recipient lacking an entry in the ACL for the referenced content. The ACL entry controls access to the referenced content for the recipient.Type: GrantFiled: July 6, 2012Date of Patent: April 15, 2014Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Derek W. Carr, Michael D. Facemire, Stephen J. Foley, Michael C. Wanderski

Patent number: 8245273Abstract: An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed for sharing referenced content through collaborative business applications. The method includes detecting referenced content in an electronic communication. The referenced content references content stored in an external repository. The referenced content identifies a registered external repository connector. The method also includes determining that an Access Control List (“ACL”) for the referenced content lacks an entry for a recipient of the electronic communication. The method includes generating an ACL entry for the recipient in response to the recipient lacking an entry in the ACL for the referenced content. The ACL entry controls access to the referenced content for the recipient. The ACL entry is defined based on a security policy associated with the recipient.Type: GrantFiled: August 24, 2009Date of Patent: August 14, 2012Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Derek W. Patent number: 6618710Abstract: Apparatus and method are provided for intelligently routing electronic messages to computers and pagers. Program code executable by a programmable controller is operative to monitor user activity at a computer workstation, for example. If the user appears to be at the workstation based on the detected activity of a computer workstation input device, the electronic message is forwarded to the computer workstation. If, however, no user activity is detected, the electronic message is forwarded to the user's pager.Type: GrantFiled: July 7, 1999Date of Patent: September 9, 2003Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Quinton Yves Zondervan, Stephen J. Patent number: 6504428Abstract: A hybrid multicarrier RF power amplifier linearization architecture combines ACT and feed-forward amplifier stages to achieve high output distortion rejection and enhanced amplifier linearity. A carrier cancellation loop is coupled with a main RF power amplifier stage having parallel RF power amplifiers coupled via intermod-complementing predistortion paths. The carrier cancellation loop is coupled to a feed-forward loop containing a feed-forward RF power amplifier, to produce a composite amplified output signal having very reduced intermodulation products. Vector modulators in the main amplifier and feed-forward amplifier stages are controlled by a digital signal processor, using outputs from various monitoring subsystems, including pilot tone detection, correlator, distortion and power detector circuits.Type: GrantFiled: May 16, 2001Date of Patent: January 7, 2003Assignee: Spectrian CorporationInventors: Armando C. Cova, Emil J. Crescenzi, Jr., Augustin P. Chang, Stephen J. Foley

Patent number: 6088570Abstract: In a conventional Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) wireless system, the specified distance between a mobile unit and the base transceiver system (BTS) cannot exceed predetermined distances because of time slot synchronization constraints. Furthermore, varying distances between mobile units and the BTS, as well as Rayleigh fading, caused by destructive interference effects between direct and reflected signals, create extreme signal strength variations in the initial uplink signal from the mobile stations. The use of spatially-diverse antennas for receiving uplink signals provides diversity gain and mitigates deep fades. Furthermore, selecting the stronger of the spatially-diverse uplink signals mitigates deep fades and reduces frequency usage in the backhaul frequency band. In this approach to extending TDMA system coverage, in-band translator components are located in the center of remote cells which would normally contain a base transceiver system (BTS).Type: GrantFiled: November 24, 1998Date of Patent: July 11, 2000Assignee: Airnet Communications CorporationInventors: Michael A.
