  • Publication number: 20240116911
Abstract: Disclosed herein are antibacterial compounds that accumulate in Gram-negative bacteria, methods of preparing the compounds, and methods of using the compounds to inhibit or kill microbes, and methods of treating microbial infections, such as Gram-negative bacterial infections. Compounds selected for conversion to potential Gram-negative antibacterial compounds were identified based on compounds having low globularity and low flexibility. Amine substituents were then strategically added to the selected compounds to provide compounds having antibacterial activity against Gram-negative bacteria.

  • Patent number: 11943280
Abstract: Various systems and methods for implementing a multi-access edge computing (MEC) based system to realize 5G Network Edge and Core Service Dimensioning using Machine Learning and other Artificial Intelligence Techniques, for improved operations and usage of computing and networking resources, and are disclosed herein. In an example, processing circuitry of a compute node on a network is used to analyze execution of an application to obtain operational data. The compute node then may modularize functions of the application based on the operational data to construct modularized functions. A phase transition graph is constructed using a machine-learning based analysis, the phase transition graph representing state transitions from one modularized function to another modularized function, where the phase transition graph is used to dimension the application by distributing the modularized functions across the network.

  • Publication number: 20240098514
Abstract: Various approaches for the deployment and coordination of network operation processing, compute processing, and communications for 5G networks, including with the use of fingerprint-based vRAN cell integrity monitoring, are discussed. In an example, analyzing a state of a 5G network includes: obtaining initial fingerprint reference data of a network state between a virtualized radio access network (vRAN) node and at least one fingerprint reference unit (FRU) device wirelessly connected to the vRAN node; comparing the initial fingerprint reference data to subsequent fingerprint data of the network state between the vRAN node (e.g., operating as vRAN gNB, or as an IAB Donor or IAB Node) and the at least one FRU device to detect a changed network condition; and performing an action at the vRAN node to modify or disable a component of the 5G network, in response to detection of the changed network condition.

  • Patent number: 6059583
Abstract: An improved electrical connection system for use in a communications card for interfacing a media connector of an unknown media with a computer is provided. In a preferred embodiment, the connection system facilitates the physical coupling of either an RJ-11 jack or an RJ-45 jack of the media connector into the same retractable jack of a PCMCIA card. Upon the physical coupling of the media connector, the connection system of the present invention evaluates the signal characteristics to determine which type from among a group of supported media types is coupled through the media connector. The connection system of the communications card conforms to the media standard and supports that standard through any communications transpiring therebetween. Typical media standards supported by the preferred embodiment of the present invention include PSTN, ISDN, Ethernet and wireless transceivers.

  • Patent number: 5340153
Abstract: A ski equipment carrier comprising two major components: a wheel component, which clamps onto the skis and has two wheels for rolling the skis, and a handle component, which clamps onto the skis and has a handle, which has provisions for carrying ski poles and boots. The ski carrier may carry two pairs of skis, holding a pair on each side, or a single pair, with one ski on each side. The carrier will also carry two pairs of ski poles, which clamp onto the side of the handle component, and two pairs of ski boots, which hang beneath the handle component.

  • Patent number: 4651064
Abstract: A video display terminal is provided with controls which permit independent adjustment of the background information and the foreground information. Each control comprises an adjustable constant current source connected to one of two branches of a differential amplifier. One branch of the differential amplifier is employed to control the background intensity and the other branch of the differential amplifier is employed to control the foreground intensity.

  • Patent number: 4390615
Abstract: A coating composition, which is suitable for the production of photopolymerizable coatings on circuit boards for the production of solder resists, comprises:(a) an ethylenically unsaturated polymerizable reaction product of a polyepoxide and an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid, which product is solid or semisolid in nature;(b) an inert inorganic filler, the filler and reaction product (a) having present in a weight ratio of from 20 to 65 parts of filler to from 80 to 35 parts of reaction product;(c) a photopolymerization initiator for the polymerizable reaction product; and(d) a volatile organic solvent for the polymerizable reaction product. The compositions are applied to substrates, such as circuit boards, and allowed to dry by evaporation of organic solvent to produce a photopolymerizable coating on the substrate which coating may be cured by exposure to actinic radiation, for example through a patterned mask.
