    Abstract: An HVAC thermostat assembly has a wall-plate connector that includes a wall-plate and wire connectors as a whole that allows for a thinner, more aesthetic design. In one instance, the HVAC thermostat includes a display unit with a wall-plate connector recess having a plurality of electrical connector pins extending outward to mate with a wall-plate connector. The wall-plate connector includes a wall plate with incorporated electrical terminals. Other assemblies and systems are disclosed.
