    Abstract: Selecting an active one of a plurality of screen areas of one or more applications presented to a user on a screen includes determining properties of the screen areas corresponding to brightness, playing audio, displaying an avatar, transparency of an avatar, timing of new content, intensity of content change, number of objects, number of objects in an intersection of multiple areas, and/or speed of objects in a particular area, setting one or more rules for choosing one of a plurality of the screen areas for a plurality of applications based on at least one of the properties, and selecting a particular one of the screen areas to be the active one of the plurality of screen areas based on the rules, the properties, and location of a pointer or touch area. The avatar may be located, at least partially, within an intersection of different ones of the screen areas.

    Abstract: In an example embodiment, a request for data is received from an end-user device, the request including one or more contextual attributes of the end-user device. The request is forwarded to a data provider. Data is then received from the data provider. It is determined if the data includes tagged sensitive data. If so, then the tagged sensitive data and the one or more contextual attributes are sent to a data access platform. Then policy constraints corresponding to the data are received from the data access platform. The sensitive data is encrypted in a manner that a data privacy module on the end-user device only decrypts the sensitive data when one or more contextual attributes of the end-user device meet one or more requirements identified in the policy constraints, and then the encrypted sensitive data and the policy are sent to the data privacy module.

The band may show less granular date increments in response to the user zooming in on the band and the band may show more granular date increments in response to the user zooming out on the band. In response to zooming in, a date presented to the user in connection with a less granular view of the band may become part of the date selected by the user.
