  • Patent number: 9483451
Abstract: Methods for formatting a hierarchical data structure having structural elements (“HDS”) are provided. A branch in a directed acyclic graph is spawned. The graph includes a root node and a plurality of sub-nodes respectively corresponding to master and edited versions of the HDS, respectively. An edited version of the HDS is associated with a secondary instance of the HDS, and a change set corresponding thereto. The change set includes user edits. In the method first and second change sets are obtained and, responsive to a user selection, portions thereof are merged to produce a third change set. An additional secondary instance of the HDS is generated by applying the third change set to structural elements included in the master instance of the HDS. The additional secondary instance of the HDS is associated with an edited version of the HDS which, in turn, is associated with a sub-node in the graph.

  • Patent number: 9478062
Abstract: In some aspects, finer grained parallelism is achieved by segmenting programmatic workloads into smaller discretized portions, where a first element can be indicative both of a configuration or program to be executed, and a first data set to be used in such execution, while a second element can be indicative of a second data element or group. The discretized portions can cause program execute on distributed processors. Approaches to selecting processors, and allocating local memory associated with those processors are disclosed. In one example, discretized portions that share a program have an anti-affinity to cause dispersion, for initial execution assignment. Flags, such as programmer and compiler generated flags can be used in determining such allocations. Workloads can be grouped according to compatibility of memory usage requirements.

  • Patent number: 9479362
Abstract: A differential transmission line with a common mode notch filter includes adjacently arranged, repeating differential transmission line pair sections. The sections have lengths that are each equal to half of an electric wavelength of a lowest frequency of a common mode electromagnetic wave to be suppressed during transmission of an electric signal over the differential transmission line. Each section includes a pair of conductors separated from one another by a spacing. The width of each conductor and the spacing between the conductors of each section vary over the length thereof according to a same pattern such that at every point over the length of each section a differential mode impedance of the differential transmission line is identical. A common mode impedance of the differential transmission line changes periodically in accordance with the lengths of the sections.

  • Publication number: 20160285148
Abstract: A differential transmission line includes a positive conductor on which a positive complementary component of a differential signal is transmitted, and a negative conductor parallel to the positive conductor on which a negative complementary component of the differential signal is transmitted. A quarter wavelength differential coupler is inserted along a length of the positive and negative conductors. The quarter wavelength differential coupler has a length corresponding to a frequency of common mode noise on the positive and negative conductors. The quarter wavelength differential coupler reduces the common mode noise at the frequency as the differential signal passes through the quarter wavelength differential coupler.
