  • Patent number: 11940940
Abstract: A processing device has a plurality of interfaces and a plurality of processors. During different phases of execution of a computer program, different processors are associated with different interfaces, such that the connectivity between processors and interfaces for the sending of egress data and the receiving of ingress data may change during execution of that computer program. The change in this connectivity is directed by the compiled code running on the processors. The compiled code selects which buses associated with which interfaces, given processors are to connect to for receipt of ingress data. Furthermore, the compiled code causes control messages to be sent to circuitry associated with the interfaces, so as to control which buses associated with which processors, given interfaces are to connect to.

  • Publication number: 20230341049
Abstract: A system, for providing a rotary power to an implement of a machine, includes a first motor control valve associated with a first motor of the machine and a second motor control valve associated with a second motor of the machine. The first motor control valve is configured to be actuated at a first shift point to shift the first motor such that the first motor and the second motor switch between a first implement drive speed and a second implement drive speed. The second motor control valve is configured to be actuated at a second shift point to shift the second motor such that the first motor and the second motor switch between the second implement drive speed and a third implement drive speed. The first and second shift points are based on loading of the implement during operation. In addition, the first and second shift points are different.

  • Publication number: 20230031529
Abstract: The apparatus pre-treats fluid and then delivers it to a patient during surgery, for example a hyperthermic intra-peritoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) procedure. It comprises a reservoir (2) for the fluid, a reversible pump (10) and a valve assembly (22). In a recirculation mode, the pump (10) is operated in one direction to draw fluid from the reservoir (2), through the valve assembly (22) and back to the reservoir (2), while the fluid is pre-treated by heating, for example. In a fluid delivery mode, the pump (10) is operated in an opposite direction to draw fluid from the reservoir (2) and deliver the fluid through the valve assembly (22) to a port (30) from which it can be supplied to the patient. A second pump (12) may be provided for drawing fluid from the patient via a return port (48). The pumps (10,12) may be peristaltic pumps integrated with the walls of the reservoir (2).

  • Publication number: 20210402099
Abstract: An injector pen is provided that includes a cartridge housing 2, a dose selector housing 10 and a nut 18 for coupling the two housings 2,10 together. The dose selector housing 10 defines an intermediate axial position, where the nut 18 can be temporarily retained in the dose selector housing 10 to form a sub-assembly suitable for transport to a different location. During final assembly of the injector pen, the cartridge housing 2 securely engages with the nut 18 and displaces the nut 18 from the intermediate axial position to a final axial position.

  • Patent number: 11020534
Abstract: A fixed dose injector pen is provided that includes a transmission element that is rotated to set and deliver a dose of a drug from a multi-dose cartridge. A circular ratchet defines a small number of engagement positions around its circumference and selectively transmits the rotation of the transmission element to a piston rod driver. The circular ratchet transmits the rotation of the transmission element to the piston rod driver only when the transmission element is rotated in a dose delivery direction, and only if the transmission element has previously been rotated in an opposite, dose setting direction through an angle sufficient to reach one of the engagement positions. An axially moving injector element can be used to drive rotation of the transmission element via a helical coupling. When the piston rod has advanced to a predetermined axial position, a last dose lock-out mechanism maintains the circular ratchet in engagement.

  • Publication number: 20200306451
Abstract: A fixed dose injector pen comprises a transmission element 30 that is rotated to set and deliver a dose of a drug from a multi-dose cartridge 8. A circular ratchet 34 defines a small number of engagement positions around its circumference and selectively transmits the rotation of the transmission element 30 to a piston rod driver 24. Specifically, the circular ratchet 34 transmits the rotation of the transmission element 30 to the piston rod driver 24 only when the transmission element 30 is rotated in a dose delivery direction, and only if the transmission element 30 has previously been rotated in an opposite, dose setting direction through an angle sufficient to reach one of the engagement positions. Preferably, an axially moving injector element 4 is used to drive rotation of the transmission element 30 via a helical coupling 31, 32.

  • Patent number: 10350361
Abstract: The fluid delivery pen of the present invention has a reduced dose setting friction mechanism which may produce a sound of higher audibility for each click corresponding to one unit dose set using a dose setting mechanism and also produces a sound of lower audibility than the former for each click when the set dose is reduced using the dose setting mechanism. The fluid delivery pen driving mechanism of the present invention has an indication to an end of dose of fluid in a cartridge.

  • Patent number: 7771398
Abstract: The present invention provides a delivery device comprising a fluid cartridge holder, housing and a piston drive mechanism that comprises a hollow piston rod and a drive-shaft. The hollow piston rod has an internal thread that mates with the external thread of the drive-shaft, forming a thread connection and being axially restrained in the proximal direction relative to the housing. The drive mechanism is in turn connected to the housing via a one way ratchet such that the piston rod is prevented from moving in the proximal direction.

  • Publication number: 20070051867
Abstract: The invention provides a form member for use in forming concrete panels comprising a pair of upright walls connected by a plurality of ribs. Each of the ribs includes an aperture for allowing a fastener through. The fastener passes through each of the ribs into a casting floor to fix the form member to the floor. A plurality of form members can be arranged to define enclosures, concrete is then poured into the enclosures to the level of the upright walls, smoothed and allowed to cure to form concrete panels. The form members of the present invention allow a number of panels to be formed at the same time, with some form members common to more than one concrete panel. The invention provides easy of use and savings in space, time and labour.

  • Publication number: 20050108900
Abstract: An article of footwear to improve walking ease and comfort, increase running speed, and improve jumping ability by augmenting the natural musculature and biomechanical characteristics of the lower leg, ankle, and foot portion of the human body. Walking, running, and jumping involves a complex series of joint and muscle movements. One of the critical components of this motion is the exertion of muscle force and/or tendon stress at the lower leg, ankle, and foot when releasing weight from the back foot during walking or running (the push off), or from one or both feet when jumping. The present invention augments this natural process by allowing storage of energy within energy storage and release means (35) as the angle ? produced by the intersection of the lower leg axis and foot axis is decreased (the forward portion of the foot moves closer to the shin) when a person moves forward during walking or running, or when a person jumps.

  • Patent number: 5816963
Abstract: An "isoharmonic" sports bat, for example a baseball bat or cricket bat, includes a hitting surface for impact with a ball, wherein the duration of a half cycle of a selected mode of vibration of the hitting surface when in contact with the ball is approximately equal to the contact time between the hitting surface and the ball during an average impact. This allows the vibrational energy of the bat to be returned efficiently to the ball, which improves the coefficient of restitution, and the peak contact force between the bat and the ball may be reduced. The hitting surface may be formed by a plate attached to the bat.
