Abstract: A method and apparatus for associating a query to a direction is provided herein. During operation, a virtual partner will attempt to determine a direction the query originated from. When answering the query, the virtual partner will adjust multiple speaker outputs so that the reply is perceived to come from the same direction as the query originated from. Additionally, if another follow-on query is made from a particular direction, the follow-on query will be associated with the prior query originating from the same particular direction.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing a response/suggestion to a user by a digital assistant is provided herein. During operation the digital assistant will have access to devices connected to it via a personal-area network (PAN). The digital assistant will then tailor any response/suggestion to the user based on PAN devices associated with the network.

Abstract: A method is provided. The method includes determining that a data sector included in a select data track is in error, the data sector in error includes at least one identified data wedge. The at least one defective data wedge in the data sector in error is located. The method also includes moving the at least one defective data wedge by utilizing at least one spare wedge on the select data track.

Abstract: The methods and systems for interconnecting communications in different communication protocols, comprising: (i) an internal interface having at least one client using at least one of a first group of communication protocol, for communicating with a user, (ii) an external interface having at least one client using at least one of a second group of communication protocol, for communicating with at least one recipient, and (iii) a Messenger/VoIP Router System (MVRS) for interconnecting communication between the user and the at least one recipient, wherein, in operation, the user initiates or receives a communication using at least one of the first group of communication protocols, and the MVRS interconnects the communication to or from the at least one recipient using at least one of the second group of communication protocols according to a set of interconnecting rules maintained in the MVRS.
