  • Patent number: 11943248
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer readable media for network security testing using at least one emulated server are disclosed. According to one example method, the method comprises: receiving, from a client device and at an emulated domain name service (DNS) server, a DNS request requesting an Internet protocol (IP) address associated with a domain name; sending, to the client device and from the emulated DNS server, a DNS response including an IP address associated with an emulated server; receiving, from the client device and at the emulated server, a service request using the IP address; sending, to the client device and from the emulated server, a service response including at least one attack vector data portion; and determining, by a test controller and using data obtained by at least one test related entity, a performance metric associated with a system under test (SUT).

  • Patent number: 11533329
Abstract: The subject matter described herein includes methods, systems, and computer readable media for threat simulation and threat mitigation recommendations. A method for threat simulation and threat mitigation recommendations includes performing a first threat simulation using at least one attack vector, wherein performing the first threat simulation includes generating simulated network traffic associated with the at least one attack vector and sending, via at least one intermediate node, the simulated network traffic to a test agent in a target network, wherein the test agent is configured to simulate at least one protected asset in the target network; determining, using simulated network traffic arrival metrics, at least one threat mitigation recommendation; and providing, via a user interface, the at least one threat mitigation recommendation to a user.

Date of Patent: December 20, 2022
    Assignee: KEYSIGHT TECHNOLOGIES, INC.
Inventors: Garett Michael Montgomery, Xavier Rousseau, Stephen Lee McGregory
  • Patent number: 11252173
Abstract: A method, system and non-transitory computer-readable medium used for testing a plurality of circuits to determine open surfaces are disclosed. The method includes: receiving one or more of attack techniques, and known open surfaces; carrying out attacks on a circuit to determine vulnerable surfaces of the circuit; determining when new open surfaces exist in the circuit; updating an attack plan based on the new open surfaces; carrying out the attack plan; generating a report of the open and vulnerable surfaces; and updating a repository to include new attack techniques against newly discovered open surfaces of the circuit.
