  • Publication number: 20240065999
Abstract: The invention described herein relates to a prodrug that is converted into a dopamine agonist. The dopamine prodrug may be combined with one or more dopamine antagonists, dopamine receptor inhibitors, or vesicular monoamine transport inhibitors. A prodrug is a biologically inactive compound that can be metabolized by the body into its active form. For example, a prodrug placed on the ocular surface can undergo hydrolysis during penetration of the ocular surface, resulting in a biologically active drug. A prodrug allows for use of a lower concentration of the drug and protects against undesirable side effects. A prodrug can also help augment drug uptake into the target tissue.

  • Publication number: 20190021868
Abstract: A spinal implant has proximal and distal regions, and includes upper and lower bodies. A proximal adjustment assembly is disposed between the upper and lower bodies in the proximal region of the spinal implant and is adjustably coupled to the upper and lower bodies, and a distal adjustment assembly is disposed between the upper and lower bodies in the distal region of the spinal implant and is adjustably coupled to the upper and lower bodies. The proximal and distal adjustment assemblies are independently movable with respect to each other, both concurrently and alternately, to change a vertical height of at least one of the proximal or distal regions of the spinal implant. A set screw is removably disposed within the proximal region of the spinal implant to lock the vertical height of the proximal and distal regions of the spinal implant.

  • Patent number: 7448671
Abstract: A two layer sound deadening material is formed from pumpable material applied through a pair of extrusion heads mounted on a single mount. A robot, used in high speed mass production automotive assembly lines, moves the door panel relative to the stationary extrusion heads to allow the simultaneous application of the two layers onto the interior side of the door. The first layer is formed of a thermosetting composition containing epoxy, rubber and a catalyst and adheres directly to the door panel. The second layer is formed of a thermosetting composition containing an epoxy resin, a thermo plastic copolymer and a curative which will adhere directly to the first layer due to similar chemical structures. The second layer is positioned such that the edges thereof are inside of the corresponding edges of the first layer to prevent read through transmission of noise from the body or door panel.

  • Publication number: 20060021714
Abstract: A motorized shade control system includes electronic drive units (EDUs) having programmable control units directing a motor to move an associated shade in response to command signals directed to the control units from wall-mounted keypad controllers or from alternate devices or control systems connected to a contact closure interface (CCI). Each of the EDUs, keypad controllers and CCIs of the system is connected to a common communication bus. The system provides for initiation of soft addressing of the system components from any keypad controller, CCI or EDU. The system also provides for setting of EDU limit positions and assignment of EDUs to keypad controllers from the keypad controllers or CCIs. The system may also include infrared receivers for receiving infrared command signals from an infrared transmitter.
