  • Publication number: 20240136046
Abstract: In one or more implementations, a method and system are disclosed in which at least one processor receives information associated with an upcoming arthroplasty and demographic factors of a patient in the upcoming arthroplasty. The processor(s) access i) procedure information representing arthroplasty previously performed for each of a plurality of patients and ii) implant information representing types and sizes of implants from a plurality of manufacturers. Further, the processor(s) determine respective unadjusted probabilities of each of a plurality of implant size options within a range of implant sizes, based on i) of at least one statistical model, ii) the accessed procedure information and the implant information, and iii) the demographic factors of the patient.

  • Patent number: 11887718
Abstract: Generating a prediction for at least one implant size for use in arthroplasty is disclosed. Patient demographic factors are received and processed to generate at least one implant size prediction. The processing includes accessing procedure information representing joint replacement procedures previously performed for a plurality of patients and implant information representing types and sizes of implants from a plurality of manufacturers and determining, as a function of at least one statistical model and the accessed procedural information and implant information, unadjusted probabilities of implant size recommendations in a range of implant sizes. At least one processor is further configured for providing, in a graphical user interface operating on at least one user computing device, information representing the respective implant size recommendations and unadjusted probabilities.

  • Publication number: 20070230685
Abstract: An automatic handset lifter is used with a wireless communication system. The system attaches to a conventional telephone and creates a communication link between the telephone and a portable device such as a wireless headset. The system automatically detects the ringing of the telephone by sensing magnetic fields of the telephone speaker. Upon ring detection, the system creates a communications link with the remote device and deploys a mechanical lifting device to lift the handset. Lifting the handset activates the telephone cradle switch to answer the phone and thereby allows the remote device to communicate over the telephone.

  • Publication number: 20050193495
Abstract: A foldable massaging bed cushion for supporting a person in a sitting position is disclosed. The foldable massaging bed cushion has a backrest with two side edges, two armrests rotatably coupled to the backrest, and one or more massaging units within the backrest. The two armrests can rotate from a sitting position to a folded position along the two side edges of the backrest. The foldable massaging bed cushion can also have one or more heating units and one more massaging units located within the backrest and a control panel to control the massaging units and heating units.
