  • Publication number: 20230337376
Abstract: An apparatus for mounting an electronic device to a support structure includes a coupling member, a clamp member, and a latch mechanism. The coupling member has a device support portion and a clamp support portion. The clamp support portion extends from one end of the device support portion at substantially a right angle. The clamp member includes a base, first and second clamp portions, and a hinge. The base is coupled to the coupling member’s clamp support portion. The first clamp portion is attached to the base. The hinge pivotally couples the first ends of the two clamp portions. The latch mechanism is anchored at a hinge joint at the second end of the first clamp portion, movable about the hinge joint between unlatched and latched positions, and configured to latch the second ends of the clamp portions together after the clamp portions are positioned about the support structure.

  • Publication number: 20230337375
Abstract: An electronic device mountable to a support structure includes a housing, a coupling member, a clamp member, and a latch mechanism. The coupling member has an electronic device support portion and a clamp support portion. The device support portion is coupled to the housing. The clamp support portion extends from one end of the device support portion in a direction substantially normal to the device support portion. The clamp member includes a base, a first arched clamp portion, a second arched clamp portion, and a hinge. The base is coupled to the coupling member's clamp support portion. The first clamp portion is attached to the base. The hinge pivotally couples the first ends of the two clamp portions such that the arch shapes of the two clamp portions oppose each other. The latch mechanism is configured to latch the second ends of the two clamp portions to the support structure.

  • Patent number: 11682850
Abstract: An electric connector terminal assembly which allows numerous different terminal connector ends and wire diameters to be connected to a single size and type crimp cylinder using an rolled metal strip insert. Preferably, the metal strip is made of copper, and preferably the copper strip is coated with tin. The metal strip is then formed into a cylinder for insertion to the crimp cylinder. A method for connecting a crimp terminal to an electric wire is also disclosed. The method requires cutting a metal strip to form a plurality of parallel compliant members (e.g., fingers) connected to a base, rolling the cut strip to form a cylindrical insert, positioning the insert within a crimp cylinder of an electric connector with the fingers extending toward the mating end, inserting an electric wire within the cylindrical insert, and crimping the crimp cylinder to secure the electric wire within the cylindrical insert and crimp cylinder.

  • Publication number: 20220228728
Abstract: A floating connector includes a housing, a substantially planar surface positioned within the housing, a set of electrical contacts, and a bushing. The set of electrical contacts are arranged substantially normal to the planar surface. The bushing is cooperatively mated with the housing and the planar surface so as to permit the bushing to pivot the planar surface about one or more points. In one exemplary embodiment, the bushing defines a pair of diametrically opposite pin apertures. In such an embodiment, the floating connector may further include a pair of pivot pins, where each pivot pin passes through a respective one of the pin apertures and pivotally interconnects the bushing and the housing. Additionally, the housing may define a pair of diametrically opposite wells to receive the pivot pins. The floating connector may form part of an electronic apparatus that is mountable to a luminaire of a streetlight.

  • Patent number: 9104373
Abstract: A computer tablet storage system. The system may have one or many main docks and one or many tablet holders. A computer tablet is retained within each tablet holder, and the tablet holder is insertable into and removable from an associated main dock. While inside the main dock, the computer tablet is protected against damage and unauthorized use. The main dock includes a door aperture and a tablet tray assembly movable toward and away from the bay door aperture and within the dock housing. The tablet holder (with tablet therein) is releasably engageable with the tray assembly. In the system, the tablet tray assembly is movable between a forward position in which a tablet is extended through the bay door for use, and a tray back position in which the tablet is retracted completely within the dock housing interior. A master control may regulate operation of the system.
