The battery can be a replacement battery for the vehicle or supplied as an OEM part. The battery controller can be provided with a unique serial number to be directly linked to the vehicle. Authorities can be provided with a control codes that can be transmitted remotely from a police pursuit vehicle to selectively absorb the external power from the vehicle electrical systems and remotely stop the engine in the event of a stolen or misused vehicle.
