Abstract: A gaming system is disclosed which includes a selector arranged to facilitate selection of a player set of characters from a set of game characters. The gaming system is arranged to associate participants in at least one event with respective game characters of the set of game characters. The gaming system also includes a winning character determiner arranged to determine a set of winning characters from the game characters associated with the participants based on performance of the participants in the at least one event, and an outcome determiner arranged to determine whether a win condition exists by comparing the player characters with the winning characters. A corresponding method is also disclosed.
