  • Publication number: 20230223703
Abstract: Disclosed is an universal radio interface system that allows different types of radios to be installed on a mobile or stationary platform. After a radio is installed, the radio can be efficiently removed and replaced with a different type of radio without having to change cabling, connectors, or mounting hardware. The universal radio interface can include an universal interface housing that can be mounted to the mobile or stationary platform. The universal radio interface also includes a radio tray that is installed in the universal interface housing. The radio tray is configured to accommodate specific types or sizes of radio modules. The universal radio interface system can also include a radio tray backing affixed to the radio tray and the radio module. The radio module, radio tray, and radio tray backing are assembled and secured within an interior cavity of the universal interface housing.

  • Patent number: 9229939
Abstract: A system for arranging searchable items, such as digital images or multimedia icons for presentation on a graphical user interface. The system has an optimizer module which minimizes a cost function for arranging items in a layout space and is applied to one or more predetermined characteristics of the items. The optimizer module also creates a mixture distribution by considering each item as having a spatial distribution in the layout space and controls the entropy of the mixture distribution in order to maximize the extent to which each item occupies a separate position in the layout space. A Renderer module then renders the layouts to generate a display.

  • Publication number: 20100159024
Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for the extraction and collection of coelomic fluid of sea stars. The method includes feeding sea stars, one at a time, from storage into the mouth of a longitudinally-moving gripper. The method includes moving the sea stars in a downstream direction by means of the longitudinally-moving gripper. The method includes severing the tip of the arm of the sea star. The method includes allowing the coelomic fluid to drain out of the severed arm of the sea star; The method includes accumulating the drained coelomic fluid. The method includes collecting the accumulated drained coelomic fluid. Finally, the method includes discharging the sea stars from the longitudinally-moving gripper.

  • Publication number: 20050054930
Abstract: A technique for imaging relative elastic properties combines B-scan and power Doppler signals to produce images of relative vibration amplitude. A method for imaging relative elastic properties of tissue includes vibrating an area of tissue of interest and capturing a power Doppler image of at least part of the vibrating tissue.
