  • Publication number: 20210010773
Abstract: A microprocessor-controlled method for implementing jam-resistant “automatic cycling functioning” of an automatic rifle or gun provides faster rate and variable rate of fire, user-selectable burst rate, no gas-loss in muzzle velocity, belt-fed autoloader, and closed-loop control. The method is implemented throughout the eight cycles of functioning (feeding, chambering, locking, firing, unlocking, extracting, ejecting, and cocking) beginning after the loaded magazine has been inserted in the weapon. The microprocessor-controlled in conjunction with other electrical-mechanical subcomponents provides greater performance, reliability, and real-time diagnostics. The present invention with its unique design, results in significant reduction in components making the unit potentially lighter overall in weight.

  • Patent number: 8059048
Abstract: An antenna steering mount includes two basic building blocks which are joined together to form any of the known steering-axis combinations. Each block includes a cylinder cut at an angle to form a cylindrical wedge. The wedges are joined together by bearings at their interface, and motors are used to counter rotate the two wedges relative to each other. One end of the complete assembly is attached to a mounting platform, and the other end includes mounting features for attaching an antenna dish thereto. Various two- and three-axis steering configurations are disclosed including combinations of azimuth, elevation, cross-elevation, and cross-level steering.

  • Patent number: 5095638
Abstract: A portable measuring system for making a series of thickness measurements of a material such as an aircraft skin and for determining therefrom the sizes and quantities of standard size fasteners required for fastening the material. For each measurement, a fixed probe is inserted through a hole in the material so as to engage an inner surface of the material, and a slidable probe engages an outer surface of the material to measure the material's thickness. Each measurement is compared to a table stored in associated data processing equipment to relate the measured thickness to the applicable standard fastener size. The sizes and numbers of standard fasteners required are accumulated over the series of measurements and displayed to the user.
