  • Patent number: 9866578
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media for scoring network anomaly risk. A system identifies a baseline usage for a facet of a server and determines, for the facet, a normal range of use based on the baseline usage. The system also determines an abnormal range of use based on the baseline usage. When actual usage data is available, the system determines whether the usage data corresponds to the normal range of use or the abnormal range of use, and calculates a facet score based on the abnormality value.

  • Publication number: 20170337602
Abstract: One or more embodiments of the disclosure provide systems and methods providing providing improved customer service to visiting customers of a brick-and-mortar merchant location. For example, a customer recognition system intelligently detects and notifies a merchant when a customer is in need of assistance based on the customer's facial expression. The customer recognition system can also identify a product associated with the customer need. In some examples, the customer recognition system identifies a user profile associated with a customer shopping at a merchant location, determines a trust level for the customer based on user profile information, and based on the trust level, causes a secured product display to provide a customer access to a secured product.

  • Publication number: 20170323299
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems, methods, and devices for facial recognition identification for in-store payment transactions. In particular, a payment system allows a user to engage in a payment transaction with a merchant to purchase goods or services at an in-store checkout location. For example, one or more implementations involve receiving a payment request to initiate an in-store payment transaction between a user and a merchant, the payment request including an image of the user. One or more embodiments identify a payment account for the user based on the image and send a payment confirmation request to a client device of the user. Additionally, one or more embodiments process the in-store payment transaction based on a confirmation response received from the client device.

  • Patent number: 9785934
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems, methods, and devices for sending and receiving payments using an integrated payment and messaging system. In particular, the integrated payment and messaging system allows users to send and receive electronic payments as well as exchange messages. For example, one or more implementations involve facilitating same day push-to-debit payment transactions between a user and a co-user. To illustrate, one or more implementations involve sending a push-to-debit request to credit funds for the payment amount of the payment transaction to a debit card of a co-user, the push-to-debit request being formatted for same day processing.

  • Publication number: 20170278341
Abstract: In accordance with some embodiments, an electronic baccarat game includes one or more multiplier feature improvements. One example of a multiplier improvement includes activating a bonus awarding mechanism (e.g., a wheel) once a plurality of qualifying conditions are satisfied during play of the primary game. In one example embodiments, the qualifying conditions include the obtainment of a Player Pair, a Banker Pair and a Tie during play of the primary game. In one embodiments, each of the qualifying conditions may be satisfied more than once and a multiplier associated with the bonus awarding mechanism (e.g., a multiplier corresponding to a respective qualifying condition) is increased each time the qualifying condition is satisfied.

  • Patent number: 9721024
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes receiving a query inputted at a mobile device of a user of an online social network. The query may include n-grams (e.g., words, emoticons, and punctuation marks), and may be, for example, a message to another user or search terms. N-grams may be mapped to tags, which may, in turn, be mapped to ideograms (i.e., stickers). One or more ideograms may be identified based on the one or more ideogram being associated with tags matching n-grams of the query. For each of the identified ideograms, a probability quantifying how likely the user is to select the ideogram is calculated based on how frequently the ideogram has been used. A set of ideogram suggestions, including one or more of the identified ideograms, is generated based on the probabilities and sent to the user's mobile device for display to the user.

  • Publication number: 20170147778
Abstract: A system for estimating fractional flow reserve (FFR) includes a front end application to receive image frames from an imaging system to develop a model of a vasculature system based on an observed concentration time profile at locations within the model using contrast dye in the vasculature system and movement of the vasculature system. A graphics processing unit is configured to represent a computed concentration time profile in the vasculature system using a Lattice-Boltzmann Method (LBM) to generate a representation of the vasculature system. A dynamic controller tunes a velocity field based on a mismatch between the observed concentration time profile and the computed concentration time profile at the locations within the model to obtain a best estimate of the velocity field to perform a FFR measurement.

  • Publication number: 20170140612
Abstract: In accordance with some embodiments, a gaming apparatus provides for an electronic baccarat game in which game elements are placed in a game element matrix within which a plurality of paylines are defined. Each payline consists of a baccarat hand which includes a first subset of game element positions attributed to the Player side and a second subset of game element positions attributed to the Banker side. In one embodiment, a player may place a wager on a game instance of the baccarat game and select one of a Player side and a Banker side for the wager. A payout is determined for the game instance based on which of the Player side and the Banker side the player selected and how many of the paylines resulted in a Player side win and how many of the paylines resulted in a Banker side win.

  • Publication number: 20170064015
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes determining a first set of users associated with a first geographic area; and determining one or more second sets of users. For each second set of users the users in the second set are associated with one of a number of second geographic areas and the users in the second set interact with the first set of users. The method also includes, for each second set of users, computing a mutual-interaction metric between the first set of users and the second set of users based on an amount of interaction between the users in the first set and the users in the second set; and determining, based on the mutual-interaction metric, a geographic-area cluster that comprises the first geographic area and one or more of the second geographic areas. The geographic-area cluster represents a user community that spans the first and second geographic areas.

  • Publication number: 20170014834
Abstract: A method of recovering particles from a liquid, a froth flotation apparatus, and a method of recovering particles in a flotation cell are disclosed. In an embodiment, the method comprises a technique of exposing the particles to first-size bubbles having a first predetermined size; the first-size bubbles adhering to the particles; and exposing the particles in a liquid, with the first-size bubbles adhering to the particles, to second-size bubbles having a second predetermined size, the second predetermined size being at least approximately ten times larger than the first predetermined size. The method further comprises the second-size bubbles adhering to the particles and engulfing the first-size bubbles on the particles; and using the second-size bubbles adhering to the particles to recover the particles from the liquid. In one embodiment a first surfactant is used to form the first-size bubbles, and a second surfactant is used to form the second-size bubbles.

  • Publication number: 20160376136
Abstract: A system includes a detection device configured to transmit and receive one or more signals in a generally vertical direction above a vehicle. Additionally, the system may include a processing device configured to measure a time of flight associated with the transmission and receipt of the one or more signals in the generally vertical direction. A distance travelled by the one or more signals may be determined based, at least in part, on the measured time of flight, and the distance travelled may be compared with a threshold distance to determine an overhead clearance of the vehicle. In response to determining the overhead clearance, a vehicle system may be activated.
