  • Patent number: 9788492
Abstract: A system for controlling the aeration of a grain bin storage device. The system comprises a grain bin storage device, a ventilation fan, a variable fan drive motor, and a controller configured to receive user input and grain bin storage device parameters. The system controls operation of the ventilation fan at various speeds to maintain a desired volumetric flow rate per bushel of grain. The controller monitors the static pressure within the grain bin storage device and adjusts the speed of the ventilation fan based on an optimal static pressure derived from the user input and grain bin storage device parameters.

  • Patent number: 9506415
Abstract: A control device is interposable between an oxygen sensor and an electric control unit of a motor vehicle to receive a voltage signal of the oxygen sensor, alter the voltage signal, and output an altered voltage signal. The altered voltage signal is received by the electronic control unit and causes the electronic control unit to produce fuel injector control signals that provide a richer fuel mixture to the internal combustion engine than what would be provided in the absence of said controller.

  • Patent number: 8981884
Abstract: A Hall effect grain level switch is positioned adjacent a grain fill opening at an upper portion of a grain enclosure. A Hall-voltage generator is coupled to the housing in a fixed position. An elongate member is pivotably coupled to the housing with the magnet being mounted adjacent a proximal end of the elongate member. A grain contact member is coupled adjacent a distal end of the elongate member. The Hall-voltage generator and magnet are positioned adjacent each other to provide a first output signal state when the elongate member extends vertically in a rest position. The Hall-voltage generator and magnet are distanced from each other to provide a second output signal state when the elongate member is pivoted to a non-vertical switched position in response to grain moving the contact member.

  • Patent number: 8547539
Abstract: A system and method for detecting breakage, rupture or malfunctioning of a pipe or cable structure, including sensing elements for monitoring the structure and placed in, on or around the structure for monitoring the breakage, rupture or malfunctioning of the structure. The sensing elements provide sensing data regarding events related to breakage, rupture or malfunctioning and are placed near the structure so as to perform a breakage, rupture or malfunction detection function, and within a distance sufficient to obtain a measureable strain, tension, torsion, vibration, acceleration, and/or temperature response signal based on the breakage, rupture or malfunctioning of the structure. One of the sensing elements is based on Coherent Rayleigh Noise (CRN) sensing techniques, and the system is configured to interpret the sensed data for determining the breakage, rupture or malfunctioning of the structure.

  • Patent number: 8408064
Abstract: A distributed acoustic wave detection system and method is provided. The system may include a fiber optic cable deployed in a well and configured to react to pressure changes resulting from a propagating acoustic wave and an optical source configured to launch interrogating pulses into the fiber optic cable. In addition, the system may include a receiver configured to detect coherent Rayleigh noise produced in response to the interrogating pulses. The CRN signal may be use to track the propagation of the acoustic wave in the well.

  • Patent number: 7805236
Abstract: A passive control device is interposable between an oxygen sensor and an electric control unit of a motor vehicle to modify a reference voltage used by the electric control unit so that a richer fuel mixture is provided to an internal combustion engine of the motor vehicle than would otherwise be provided in absence of the passive control device. The passive control device directly passes the voltage signal from the oxygen sensor to the electronic control unit without modification. The passive control device works with the electronic control unit to provide a richer fuel mixture without reprogramming the electronic control unit.

  • Publication number: 20050229451
Abstract: This invention relates to outdoor advertising and, more particularly, to methods, systems and apparatus for providing branded parking spaces. The invention includes using a standard parking space as an advertising space that creates an opportunity for advertisers to reach customers with branded messages at a place where they park a vehicle, creating an out-of-home advertising venue. The parking space can have an advertising message applied to it, such as on a sign placed within the parking space, adjacent to the parking space or in an area between two adjacent parking spaces. The advertising message can also be applied to the asphalt or concrete within the parking space, adjacent to the parking space or in an area between two adjacent parking spaces. The advertising message can also be applied to a canopy, overhang or ceiling that is within the parking space, adjacent to the parking space or in an area between two adjacent parking spaces.
