Abstract: A payment device may be issued that is user generic and allows for the payment of billing accounts by storing billing account information in association with the payment device and/or an underlying funding account. In one example, the payment device might not store any user identification information. Upon receiving a bill payment request, a bill payment device may retrieve bill payment account information from a remote financial institution system (e.g., for a financial institution holding the payment device funding account) or from the payment device. The bill payment accounts may then be displayed for user selection. Payments may then be electronically transferred to a payee associated with the bill payment account.
