  • Publication number: 20150334050
Abstract: The disclosed subject matter describes a method, system, apparatus, and storage medium for interfacing multiple communication systems via a partitionable router. The router has at least two partitions, each partition having a subset of the router's resources allocated to it. Software programs are executed within each partition using their respective allocated resources. The resources, and any subset thereof, may be allocated non-exclusively, exclusively, and/or non-linearly to the partitions. The router receives information and determines the format of the information. The router identifies the receiving party and transforms the received information into a format compatible for the receiving party. The router then transmits the converted information to the receiving party, where the transmitting and/or receiving party is one of the software programs.

  • Publication number: 20100005194
Abstract: The disclosed subject matter describes a method, system, apparatus, and storage medium for interfacing multiple communication systems, comprising the following steps. The interface receives information from the client, and determines the format of the information. The disclosed subject matter identifies the third party to receive the information and transforms the originally received information into a format compatible for the third party. The server or router then sends the converted information to the intended third party. The associated process allows communication between the client and third party in both directions.

  • Publication number: 20050254428
Abstract: In one form of the invention, a process of sending real-time information from a sender computer (103) to a receiver computer (105) coupled to the sender computer (103) by a packet network (100) wherein packets (111,113) sometimes become lost, includes steps of directing (441) packets (111) containing the real-time information from the sender computer (103) by at least one path (119) in the packet network (100) to the receiver computer (105), and directing packets (113) containing information dependent on the real-time information from the sender computer (103) by at least one path diversity path (117) in the packet network (100) to the same receiver computer (105).

  • Patent number: 6335497
Abstract: A de-energized tap changer is disclosed that includes a contact rail assembly, a gear assembly, a handle assembly and a transmission system that compensates for angular misalignment of the gear assembly and handle assembly. The transmission system includes two elongated members with attached blocks that fit inside a hollow tube and when the handle of the de-energized tap changer is rotated, torque is transmitted through the transmission system to the gear assembly which drives the movable contacts.

  • Patent number: 5693922
Abstract: A load tap changer (LTC) comprising in part a diverter switch is disclosed. The diverter switch includes a movable main contact (38); first and second fixed main contacts (40a, 40b); a pantograph system (30) for translating a rotational motion of a shaft (22) to a substantially linear motion of the movable main contact; and a link system (10) comprising a gear (12) adapted to be rotated by a motor, a spring battery (26) for storing energy of the motor, link means (14, 16, 18) for coupling the gear to the spring battery, and the shaft (22) coupled to the link means, wherein the spring battery is operable to rotate the shaft and to thereby effect the movement of the movable main contact. A predetermined amount of rotation of the shaft effects a movement of the movable main contact from a contacting relation with the first fixed main contact to a contacting relation with the second fixed main contact.

  • Patent number: 4747701
Abstract: In general, the product of the present invention is a plastic liner bag which includes an elastic band, integral with the open top of the plastic bag. The edge of the elastic band which is attached to the plastic bag has a circumference in its relaxed state which is approximately equal to the circumference of the open top of the bag. As such, the elastic band does not interfere with the folding or rolling of the plastic liner bags of the present invention. That is, the bag will lie flat on a flat surface. The method of the present invention comprises the steps of forming a plastic bag out of plastic sheet material so as to have an open end and attaching one edge of an elastic band in its relaxed state to the plastic sheet material so as to be integral with the open end of the bag when it is formed.
