Abstract: The present invention is directed to a variety of embodiments. For example, in at least one embodiment the invention is directed to formulations and methods for diagnosis of risk and for treatment to reduce this risk of upper gastrointestinal bleeding from erosions and ulcers. The compositions contain arachidonic acid, such as, but not limited to, arachidonate, 20:4n-6, and may include one or more forms of tocopherol, such as, but not limited to, alpha-, beta-, gamma-, delta- or mixtures thereof, anti-inflammatory lipids, such as, but not limited to, fish oil, DHA, gamma-linolenic acid, and may also include trace minerals required for superoxide dismutase production, such as, but not limited to, copper, zinc, and manganese.

Abstract: Formulations and methods for the treatment and/or amelioration of symptoms of inflammatory conditions and associated systemic inflammatory responses are described herein. The compositions comprise a non-alpha tocopherol (especially gamma-, beta-, or delta-tocopherol) and one or more of an omega-3 fatty acid, such as docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) or a flavonoid.

Abstract: The present invention provides non-alpha-tocopherol enriched tocopherol compositions and non-alpha-tocopherol metabolite enriched compositions for use in the reduction of inflammatory markers associated with inflammation and for use in the treatment and/or amelioration of symptoms of inflammation associated with for example, cardiovascular diseases or disorders, infectious diseases, diabetes, SIRS, asthma, neurodegenerative disorders, PMS; muscle fatigue or inflammation; and dermal conditions.
