  • Publication number: 20070193649
Abstract: A mock manlid system includes a lid defining a first side and an opposing second side and an aperture through which a valve assembly is coupled. The lid seats about a manhole of a shipping container with a conventional manlid retracted. The valve assembly connects to a spillbox located in the manhole for discharging the shipping container under pressure.

  • Publication number: 20070071590
Abstract: A payload system for a cargo carrier includes a spillbox having a collar, a tube and a valve. The collar seats about a manhole of a shipping container. The tube has a first end and a second end, the first end being connectable to a flexiliner installed in the shipping container. The second end is connectable to the valve for communicating a load of cargo through the manhole via the spillbox. The spillbox is unseated from about the manhole to remove the flexiliner through the manhole after the load of cargo is extracted from the flexiliner.

  • Publication number: 20060186117
Abstract: A shipping container discharge system and method of using the shipping container discharge system includes a bulkhead liner for a shipping container with a reinforced area and a discharge sleeve extending from within the shipping container. The discharge sleeve has a discharge passage in communication with an interior space of the bulkhead liner for discharging a product from the interior space. The shipping container discharge system also includes a manifold having a first aperture and at least one attachment member. The discharge sleeve extends through the first aperture and the attachment member is attached to the reinforced area of the bulkhead liner to secure the manifold to the bulkhead liner. A high hat with a second aperture is attachable to the manifold with a portion of the discharge sleeve secured between the manifold and the high hat to prevent contamination of a product to be unloaded from the interior space of the bulkhead liner.

  • Publication number: 20060175324
Abstract: A container system having a bulkhead liner and method of using the bulkhead liner includes a pliable body with an exterior surface and an interior surface forming a cavity therein. At least one loading aperture is formed through the exterior and interior surfaces for loading a product in the cavity. When filled with the product, the pliable body substantially assumes a shape complementary to the shipping container shape. In one aspect of the invention, a lattice having a plurality of straps is affixed to the exterior surface to resist an expansion force exerted by the product from within the cavity. At least one load-bearing band is situated within the cavity of the pliable body shrouded by a sheath to protect the product from contamination by external elements to which the load-bearing band may be exposed. The load-bearing band is freely movable within the sheath to prevent damage to the pliable body when the product fills the cavity and imparts an expansion force against the pliable body.
