  • Patent number: 10679430
Abstract: Methods, server, devices and registered terminals for requiring approval of toll charges are provided. A server receives, from a fixed communication device at a toll booth location, a tollway transponder identifier of a vehicle tollway transponder on a vehicle. The server determines whether a registered terminal is associated with the tollway transponder identifier. Responsive to determining that the registered terminal is associated with the tollway transponder identifier, a toll approval request message is transmitted to the registered terminal, which sends a response message back to the server. The server determines if a location of the registered terminal is within a defined distance from the toll booth location. Responsive to the location of the registered terminal being within the defined distance, the server triggers a toll charge against an account associated with the tollway transponder identifier when the response message indicates approval of the toll.

  • Publication number: 20200110887
Abstract: A system for protecting displayed data by encrypting pixels can include a user interface, a communication interface, a processing circuit, and memory. The memory can have instructions stored therein that are executable by the processing circuit for causing the processing circuit to obtain an encryption key associated with an account. The processing circuit can further determine sensitive data that is associated with the account and an array of pixels that is usable to display the sensitive data. The processing circuit can further encrypt the array of pixels based on the encryption key associated with the account to generate an encrypted array of pixels. The processing circuit can further display, via the user interface, the encrypted array of pixels. A displayed version of the encrypted array of pixels being decryptable using the encryption key to determine the sensitive data by a remote device associated with the account.

  • Publication number: 20200097579
Abstract: A method of detecting anomalous transactions in computer network log files includes obtaining an event log file that includes a plurality of lines of log output associated with respective transactions, obtaining a log entry pattern for a transaction type, the log entry pattern including a plurality of log entries associated with normal behavior of transactions of the transaction type, identifying a plurality of log entries associated with a transaction of the transaction type, comparing the plurality of log entries to the log entry pattern, and determining that the transaction is an anomalous transaction in response to the comparison.

  • Publication number: 20200089852
Abstract: A processor of an electronic device receives a personal identification number (PIN) having a sequence of numeric digits. For each digit of the PIN, a fingerprint scan is received from a fingerprint detector, and is registered as associated with the digit of the PIN. Subsequently, when a fingerprint scan matches the fingerprint scan that was registered for the digit of the PIN, the operations increment the PIN digit counter. In contrast, when the fingerprint scan does not match the fingerprint scan that was registered for the digit of the PIN, but does match the fingerprint scan that was registered for the next one of the PIN digits, the next PIN digit counter is incremented. When a PIN entry completion condition is satisfied, the operations selectively allow electronic access by a user to an application based on determining whether the sequence of PIN digit counters contain values matching the PIN.

  • Publication number: 20190311361
Abstract: A method includes receiving a transaction authorization request for a transaction between a user and a transaction system. The method also determines the location of the transaction system based and receiving the location of an account holder device associated with the account. The method also determines whether an increased authorization level is required for the transaction based on the location of the transaction system and the location of the account holder device. If the increased authorization level is required for the transaction, the method includes transmitting an increased authorization inquiry to the transaction system and receiving a response to the increased authorization inquiry. The increased authorization inquiry may be associated with a predetermined response. The method determines whether to authorize the transaction based on the response by the user and the predetermined response to the increased authorization inquiry.

  • Patent number: 10387884
Abstract: A method for preventing mobile payment is described. The method comprises generating an authorization request, via a payment module, based on sensitive data on a mobile device. The authorization request is transmitted from the payment module to an issuer system. The issuer system sends a neutralization trigger. In response to receiving the neutralization trigger, the payment module is disabled.

  • Publication number: 20190122219
Abstract: According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, a method by a server includes receiving, by the server, a request to conduct a transaction between a merchant and a secondary device associated within an account. A request for a personal identification number (PIN) is transmitted to the secondary computing device. The PIN is received from the secondary computing device. The PIN and transaction information associated with the transaction is forwarded to a primary computing device registered with the account. Authorization to allow the secondary computing device to conduct the transaction is received from the primary computing device. Based on the authorization received from the primary computing device, the transaction between the secondary computing device and a merchant is authorized.

  • Publication number: 20190109842
Abstract: According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, a method by a server includes receiving, by the server, a request to register a computing device for conducting transactions associated with an account. The server determines that a primary computing device is already registered as a first authorized device for conducting transactions associated with the account. A request to authorize the computing device as a second authorized device for conducting transactions associated with the account is transmitted to the primary computing device. Permission to register the computing device as the second authorized device is received from the primary computing device. The computing device is then registered as the second authorized device for conducting transactions associated with the account.
