  • Patent number: 4524480
Abstract: A wire wheel cover brush, for cleaning automobile wire and style type wheel covers having a brush handle portion, tapering head portion and bristle portion. The brush bristle portion has a plurality of individual U-shaped or hairpin bent brush bristles gathered together in a plurality of tufts. The tufts are embedded in holes drilled or otherwise formed in the brush head portion and secured by fastening means. The tufts are arranged in three distinct groupings each in a circular pattern. The groupings are positioned in a triangular arrangement separated by a predetermined space to allow passage of the wire wheel cover spokes between the groupings, allowing the groupings to make maximum and direct contact with the back-up plate, simultaneously cleaning the back-up plate and wire spokes. An alternative embodiment is disclosed in which the brush bristles are of two different lengths.

  • Patent number: 4309019
Abstract: An automotive vehicle tailpipe hanger for securing a tailpipe clamp to a support means formed on the vehicle is made of an L-shaped member having a horizontal leg and a vertical leg which is normally arranged between and overlapped by and secured to the opposite end portions of a double-bent, elongated, rubber-like strip. The inverted U-shaped bight of the bent strip normally suspends the hanger from the vehicle support. The strip end portions and the vertical leg are each provided with a number of equally spaced apart openings along its length. A releasable, bolt-like mechanical fastener extends through pre-selected openings in the vertical leg and the overlapping end portions for varying the amount of relative overlap and thereby, adjusting the over-all height of the hanger. A C-shaped bracket is pivotally secured to the horizontal leg for holding a ring-like tailpipe clamp which encircles and supports a tailpipe.

  • Patent number: 4223983
Abstract: A small, wide angle mirror, for application upon a conventional vehicle side view mirror surface, formed of a molded plastic, generally wedge-shaped, box having integral walls and a curved base which is mirrored. The box is closed with a separate, flat plate which is frictionally secured within the box and is spaced a short distance inwardly of the free edges of the box walls. A resilient pad is adhesively secured to the exposed surface of the plate and is partially concealed within the box and partially extends outwardly of the plane of the free edges of the walls. A pressure sensitive adhesive coating upon the pad secures the pad to the vehicle side view mirror surface for thereby fastening the mirror attachment in place.
