  • Publication number: 20150046490
Abstract: This continuing disclosure of the invention describes product-identification and protection features including several improvements that enable the secure attachment of the apparatus to mounting locations as well as the secure retention of tablet PCs and other devices within the frames of the invention. Such security features comprise clips and modular attachment elements that may be integrated with a security system comprising audible alarm mechanisms and software-based monitoring and alert mechanisms. Moreover, a system for marking and tracking manufactured goods, including the components of the various claimed features of the invention, is also disclosed. The product marking and identification systems utilize software-based analysis of ultrastructural physical traits observable in molded plastic parts to determine origin of manufacture and to distinguish counterfeits.

  • Patent number: 8870137
Abstract: This disclosure of the previously presented invention describes a small sized collapsible frame for use in certain embodiments of said apparatus for adjustably mounting a tablet PC or other personal electronic device, including additional examples of its many adjustment and attachment features. A mounting means, such as a suction cup assembly, is attachable to various surfaces and is connected to a hanger from which cordage or straps descend to the suspended frame. The miniaturized frame features a crossover arrangement of two slats enabling expansion and contraction of either a width or a height dimension of said frame. The invention comprises various swappable stabilizer elements to separately regulate the orientation and attachment of the mounted device(s) to any surface; and herein, the threadable stabilizer cleats that attach to the cordage are described in particular detail.

  • Patent number: 8827222
Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus for adjustably mounting a tablet PC or other electronic device for hands-free emplacement in a diverse range of environments. This continuation-in-part application emphasizes varieties of a subcombination apparatus that provides integrated mounting and adjusting means for use either with the present invention or with separate unspecified other devices and objects. The apparatus of the present invention attaches to various surfaces via a mounting means comprising an adjustable suction cup connected to hanger rotatable in multiple dimensions wherein the movement of adjustable parts is regulated by built-in, easily-reversible locking mechanisms. The invention, used with or without the present subcombination apparatuses, enables stable and precise positioning of personal electronic devices in almost any situation where rapid, impromptu, or reversible deployment is desired.

  • Patent number: 8474778
Abstract: The invention provides an apparatus for adjustably mounting a tablet PC, portable personal computer, or flat panel video display, which is particularly suited for use during travel and in rugged conditions. The apparatus enables stable and versatile emplacement of a tablet PC by incorporating multiple independent adjustment and attachment elements. A mounting means, such as a suction cup assembly, is attachable to various surfaces and is connected to a hanger from which cordage or straps descend to a suspended frame. The frame features clips, resilient spacers, and adjustable dimensions to securely hold any commercially available tablet PC therein. The frame may further comprise various swappable stabilizer elements to separately regulate the orientation and attachment of the tablet PC to a surface. In a preferred embodiment, the apparatus is mounted to a windshield and the frame positions the tablet PC over the center console in an automobile.

  • Patent number: 4591858
Abstract: Preprogrammed aircraft target information is stored in separate lists of beacon and radar target words each including azimuth, range and amplitude data for a designated target within the current one of a plurality of predetermined azimuth "half" sectors. For each radar target word whose starting and ending azimuth includes the current azimuth, its amplitude data is loaded into the range bin of one of a first pair of high speed RAM data stacks addressed by the range data of the target word. When the radar trigger occurs, the previously loaded data stack is read out sequentially bin-by-bin. An echo pulse is formed by a video data output control for each range bin containing a non-zero value. For a beacon target of valid azimuth, the amplitude data is loaded into the range bin of one of a second pair of data stacks addressed by the range data of the beacon target word. The same amplitude data is loaded into every eighth range bin for which the corresponding bit of the transponder 3/A or C code is a "1".
