Abstract: A drive motor-linear actuator system, for use within, for example, powered chairs, comprises a single drive motor provided with a pair of output drive shafts, and a pair of laterally spaced, left and right-side linear actuators operatively engaged respectively with the pair of output drive shafts. In this manner, the single drive motor can simultaneously actuate both linear actuators in a synchronized manner. The linear actuators are disposed near the opposite left and right sides of the chair so as to provide enhanced stability to the chair while reducing the weight and cost of the chair since only one single drive motor is required to drive both linear actuators.

Abstract: An automated powder-coating system and method is provided. A series of conveyor belts are arranged end to end to transition one or more work pieces between the conveyor belts. Sensors are used to determine the current location of a work piece with respect to the series of conveyor belts. An induction heating coil for preheating work pieces and a powder-coating apparatus for powder coating work pieces are located adjacent to the conveyor belts. A control unit independently starts and stops the individual conveyor belts based on the current location of the work piece. A cooling area may also be included in the powder-coating system. The powder-coating system and method may be used to powder coat varying lengths of work pieces.

Abstract: A reclining chair having a seat, backrest and footrest movable from upright to TV and fully reclined positions and having a mechanism which includes a track and roller at the rear and a linkage mechanism at the front enabling the seat, backrest and footrest to move from one position to another. The mechanism is gravity operated by the weight of the chair occupant to move from upright to TV position, but is restrained by an over center latch which is manually actuated to release the mechanism.
